Crunk Juice is the fifth and final studio album by American Southern hip hop group Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz. It was released on November 16, 2004, under BME Recordings and TVT Records. The production was primarily handled by Lil Jon himself, who also collaborated in the executive production, alongside Bryan Leach, Rob McDowell, Emperor Searcy, Vince Phillips, the Neptunes and Rick Rubin. The album includes guest appearances from rappers and singers, like R. Kelly, Ludacris, Ice Cube, Usher, Bun B from UGK, Jadakiss, Nas, T.I., the Ying Yang Twins and Pharrell.

Britney Spears received her first Grammy of Best Dance Recording for her 2004 smash hit "Toxic".

Pokémon: The First Movie: Music From and Inspired By the Motion Picture is the soundtrack to the first Pokémon film in the North American markets. Two songs were featured in the animated short Pikachu's Vacation and eight songs were exclusive to the album, not being featured in either the short or the movie. The CD contains extra features, such as Pokémon videos and a screensaver. When it was released, it included a promotion to send in a proof of purchase for an exclusive Jigglypuff card from the Pokémon TCG.

Irish rock band U2 were the main recipients with five awards including Album of the Year. Mariah Carey, John Legend, and Kanye West were each nominated for eight awards and won three; Alison Krauss & Union Station also won three awards; and Kelly Clarkson won two. Green Day were amongst the big winners, winning the Grammy Award for Record of the Year.
Pop 'til You Drop! is the third studio album by Swedish pop group A-Teens, released in 2002 exclusively in North America and Argentina. Recorded between 2001 and 2002 in Stockholm, Sweden, the album saw the group having more involvement in the composition of the album, with the members having co-writing credits on several of the tracks. The first single from the album was a cover of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love", which was part of Lilo & Stitch's soundtrack. The second and final single from the album was "Floorfiller". The song "This Year" later appeared on the Kim Possible soundtrack.

The Truth is the debut studio album by Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel. Originally scheduled for a Fall 1999 release, it was delayed to a February 8, 2000 release. The album was ultimately released on February 29, 2000, to critical and commercial success. The Truth sold 155,000 copies in its first week released. It debuted and peaked at number 5 on the US Billboard 200 and had one charting single, "Anything" by Jay-Z. Beanie Sigel and his debut album were intensely hyped up after "a few dazzling collaborations" according to Matt Conaway of AllMusic and Conaway says that it "is the culmination of that promise".

Brother Bear: An Original Walt Disney Records Soundtrack is the soundtrack to Disney's 2003 animated feature film Brother Bear. It contains the film's score composed by Mark Mancina and Phil Collins, as well as songs written by Collins, and performed by Tina Turner, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Oren Waters, The Bulgarian Women's Choir, and even Collins himself. Much of the soundtrack in the film consists of the songs performed by Collins as a montage, much like what was done with the earlier Disney soundtrack to film Tarzan, but not entirely. The album was released on October 21, 2003 by Walt Disney Records.

Krauss became the sixth female solo artist to have won 5 awards in one night, joining Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, Norah Jones, Beyoncé Knowles, and Amy Winehouse. Lil Wayne received the most nominations, with eight.
Daydreamin' is the only album released by R&B group, Before Dark. It was released on July 11, 2000 through RCA Records, about a year after it was originally set to be released. The group's first two singles, "Come Correct" and "Baby" were released in 1998 and 1999 respectively, but neither was met with much success and RCA decided to delay the album. Early in 2000 the group's third and most successful single "Monica" was released and peaked at 77 on the Billboard 200 and 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. Three months after the release of "Monica", Daydreamin' was finally released.

The album features guest appearances from Chris Brown, Fabolous, Pusha T and Yo Gotti. The album was executively produced by Che Pope & Teyana Taylor. Recording took place at Jungle City Studios in New York & KMA Studios, NYC, as well as The Kennedy Compound in North Hollywood, California & Labren Studio in Inglewood, CA.
