The third season of the Bangladeshi music television series Coke Studio Bangla started airing from 13 April 2024. The season curated is by Shayan Chowdhury Arnob. [1] [2]

Production

Shayan Chowdhury Arnob served as the music curator for the season, collaborating with fellow music producers Pritom Hasan, Emon Chowdhury, Shuvendu Das Shuvo, and others. The show featured eleven original songs, featuring contributions from over 180 musicians and vocalists from Bangladesh and around the globe. [3]

Production for the show was undertaken by Dotbirth Limited. Deepto Television served as the television media partner, while Qinetic Music handled digital distribution. TikTok served as the entertainment partner. Dope Productions and Runout Films were responsible for the show's visual presentation. [4] [5] Commenting on the third season, Arnob, expressed, [6]

Shayan Chowdhury Arnob is a Bangladeshi singer-songwriter, musician, painter, filmmaker, animator and producer. Arnob was the founding member of the indie folk band Bangla which later went hiatus for internal reasons. Arnob continued performing with some of the band members as Arnob and Friends.

Anusheh Anadil is a Bangladeshi musician, artist, cultural activist, and social entrepreneur. The band 'Bangla' was the first female lead band from Bangladesh that became iconically popular in both Bangladesh and West Bengal (India), for their first album Kingkortobbobimuro (2002). Their rendition of spiritual folk songs, along with their own original songs, became a revolution for bringing the sounds of the village bard into popular culture. They helped popularize the philosophy of Fakir Lalon Shai, as a breath of fresh air, to the urban youth. Bangla's second album Prottutponnomotitto (2005) is a tribute to Fakir Lalon Shai. The album questions religious extremism and corrupt politics by using songs of the insightful mystic. The band 'Bangla' inspired many young musicians from both sides of Bengal to rediscover their roots.

Over the years, the band has emerged as a prominent music group in the country and became one of the most sought after bands, especially among the urban youth listeners.

Chaina Bhabish is the debut studio album by Bangladeshi singer, songwriter Arnob, released on 1 June 2005 by Ektaar Music. The album was mixed, mastered and engineered by Arnob himself. It featured the hit song "She Je Boshe Ache". The album artwork was also drawn by Arnob himself. Since the release of the album Arnob gained huge popularity among the youth of Bangladesh.

She Je Boshe Ache is a Bangladeshi song, which was first released in 2004 as the title track of the teleplay Off Beat, which started at 36:55 of the teleplay. The original acoustic version, the one released in the teleplay, was written, composed, and sung by Arnob. Later, it was performed by Black in their compilation album Shopnochura which was released in the same year. In 2005, Arnob released the original version in his debut album Chaina Bhabish. However, because the Black version was released in 2004 and Arnob's original version was also included in his debut album Chaina Bhabish much later in 2005, many confused the version performed by Black to be the original one.

Padma Patar Jol is a 2015 Bangladeshi Bengali language historical romantic drama film written by Latiful Islam Shibli and directed by Tonmoy Tansen. The film is produced by Sheikh Asifur Rahman, as his production company Tripod Films funded the project. The plot is based on a British colonial era story. It stars Mamnun Hasan Emon, Bidya Sinha Saha Mim, Tariq Anam Khan and Amit Hasan in lead roles with Chitralekha Guho, Nima Rahman and Nipun Akter appearing in supporting roles. The film was released on 18 July 2015.
