Cold Like War is the fifth studio album by American metalcore band We Came as Romans. It was released on October 20, 2017, and is their first album through SharpTone Records. This is the band's first album to feature new drummer David Puckett, who replaced longtime drummer Eric Choi, and their last with singer Kyle Pavone before his death in August 2018.

Videos

On September 29, 2016, We Came as Romans presented the first single taken from this album, called "Wasted Age". [2] On September 11, 2017, it was released through SharpTone Records YouTube channel a video for "Cold Like War", [3] followed 10 days later by "Lost in the Moment". [4] On October 19, 2017, the day before the album came out, the music video for "Foreign Fire" was released. [5]

Critical reception

Alternative Press considered Cold Like War like a "milestone for WCAR", considering that "they have expanded their range of sounds, emotions and songwriting capabilities without compromising their sincerity". [6] Louder Sound said that We Came as Romans, during its first album through SharpTone Records, "strive to make an impression", creating a "never boring record". [7]

To Plant a Seed is the debut studio album by American metalcore band We Came as Romans. It was released by Equal Vision Records on November 3, 2009 and was produced by Joey Sturgis. Artwork for the album was done by Paul Romano to which coincides to We Came as Romans' positive message as explained by guitarist Joshua Moore that the lyrical themes on To Plant a Seed are based-up spreading this message. A deluxe edition of the album was released on January 18, 2011 which includes one bonus track and a DVD entitled To Plant a DVD.

Darkbloom is the sixth studio album by American metalcore band We Came as Romans. It was released on October 14, 2022, and is their first album in five years. This is the band's first album without clean vocalist/keyboardist Kyle Pavone, after his death from an accidental drug overdose in August 2018. The band chose not to replace Pavone out of respect for his memory; instead, they used synths written by producer Drew Fulk and recorded by Pavone before his death, and unclean vocalist Dave Stephens, who had occasionally performed clean vocals alongside Pavone, took over on clean vocals full-time.
