Zed is a New Zealand punk rock group, which formed as Supra in 1996 in Christchurch by Ben Campbell on bass guitar and triangle, Nathan King on lead vocals, guitar and trumpet, and Adrian Palmer on drums and percussion. In 2000 they added a second guitarist, Andrew Lynch. Their debut album, Silencer (2000), peaked at No. 1 on the New Zealand Albums Chart; while their second album, This Little Empire, reached No. 3. Their top 10 singles are "Glorafilia" (1999), "Renegade Fighter" (2000), and "Hard to Find Her" (2003). They toured New Zealand, Australia and United States before disbanding in 2004. They have reformed periodically including in 2017, 2019 and 2023.
Tiki Taane is a New Zealand musician, experimentalist, musical activist, producer, and live engineer. He was a member of leading New Zealand band Salmonella Dub but left after eleven years on 1 January 2007 to pursue a solo career. His debut album, Past, Present, Future, was released on 22 October 2007 in New Zealand and has since gone two times platinum, achieving a number one single, "Always on My Mind", which became the first digital single to reach platinum sales and also held the record by staying in the NZ Top 40 Charts for 55 weeks. Taane is also the exclusive live sound engineer for New Zealand drum and bass act Shapeshifter since their first gig in 1999. Taane has also produced multi platinum albums for bands such as Six60, Shapeshifter, Salmonella Dub and Tiki Taane.
The Black Seeds, a New Zealand eight-piece reggae band, has released seven studio albums, two remix albums, and a live album. Formed in 1997 in Wellington, New Zealand, the band released their debut studio album, Keep On Pushing L.P, in 2001. Even though this album was on a small budget, it still reached platinum status in New Zealand, as well as having success in Australia. A remix album was also released in 2002 called Pushed, which included songs from the first album remixed by local DJs.
New Zealand-Australian singer Stan Walker has released seven studio albums, two compilation albums, two extended plays, forty-eight singles—including seven as a featured artist—and twenty-one music videos. In 2009, Walker won the seventh season of Australian Idol, and signed a recording contract with Sony Music Australia. Walker's debut studio album Introducing Stan Walker, which contained selected songs he performed on Australian Idol, was released on 11 December 2009. The album debuted at number three on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart, and number two on the New Zealand Albums Chart. It was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association, and triple platinum by the Recorded Music NZ. The album's lead single "Black Box" peaked at number two on the ARIA Singles Chart, and number one on the New Zealand Singles Chart, eventually being certified double platinum in both countries.
Karoline Fuarosa Park-Tamati, known professionally as Ladi6, is a New Zealand recording artist of Samoan descent. She spent six months living in Berlin and touring Europe in both 2010 and 2011. Her debut album Time Is Not Much debuted at number 4 on the New Zealand Top 40 Album chart. and her second album The Liberation Of... debuted at number 6 and was certified gold. Her single "Like Water" was certified platinum in June 2011. She has won many awards, including Best Female Solo Artist and Best Urban Hip Hop Album at the 2011 New Zealand Music Awards and Best Urban/Hip Hop Album at the 2009 New Zealand Music Awards. The current line-up of the wider Ladi6 group is Ladi6, her partner Parks and Julien Dyne.

Tomorrow People is a seven-piece New Zealand reggae band that formed in 2010. Their debut album One was released on 1 June 2012 under Illegal Musik / Warner Music and debuted at Number One on the New Zealand charts. It was later certified Gold. They have also released an EP called One.5 in 2014, and a full-length album called Bass & Bassinets in 2015. Their EP "BBQ" Reggae was released in January 2018 and debuted at number one in New Zealand.
Anna Robinson, better known mononymously as Robinson, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and musician. Born in Nelson, she was educated at Garin College. Robinson released her first single "Don't You Forget About Me" in May 2017. In February 2018, Robinson signed to Sony Music Australia and Ministry of Sound. Her song "Nothing to Regret" reached the top 40 in Australia and New Zealand in 2018. She was set to be an opening act for the British girl group, Little Mix, on LM5: The Tour, before the cancellation of the Oceania tour dates.
Drax Project is the debut studio album by New Zealand band Drax Project, released in September 2019. The album follows the release of their single "Woke Up Late" (2017), which was re-released in early 2019 as a new version featuring Hailee Steinfeld. The band's collaboration with Six60, "Catching Feelings", was released as a single just prior to the album, and became a hit in Australia and New Zealand.

In September 2021 for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, the band re-recorded the song as "He Aroha Hinemoa / Love on the Run". Both the English and Māori language versions of the song were hits in New Zealand.
