Demetrius C. Savelio, better known by his stage name Savage, is a New Zealand hip hop recording artist and member of hip hop group the Deceptikonz. Savage was the first New Zealand hip hop artist to have a commercial single achieve platinum certification status in the United States. The "International Breakthrough" accolade of the Pacific Music Awards was created in his honour. Savage also has applied his recognisable voice in the electronic dance music space with 5× platinum hit ''Freaks'' with Timmy Trumpet, and 4 times platinum hit ''Swing'' with Joel Fletcher.

It was taken from her debut solo album, Diva (1992), and reached number five in the United Kingdom. A CD single for the song was set to be released in the UK in September 2001, but instead, "Papercut" was released as the third single from the album. It was later planned as the fifth official single from the album, planned for a January 2002 release but was cancelled for unknown reasons. In its place, the song's remix version was released. Mike Shinoda's verses originally had different lyrics, and Chester Bennington's parts became no different from the Hybrid Theory version.

"My Feelings for You" is a 2010 track by DJs Avicii and Sebastien Drums, which is a remix of an original made by Cassius, a French house band, which released on Astralwerks in 1999. The single was released in the United Kingdom on 13 December 2010 as a digital EP with additional remixes, as well as an additional remix EP. The vocals are sampled from "All This Love That I'm Giving" by Gwen McCrae. The vocal samples taken are reminiscent of those used by Cassius in "Feeling For You". After the single's official release in the United Kingdom, it started to receive a strong number of downloads and on 19 December 2010, charted at no. 46 on the UK Singles Chart and no. 4 on the UK Dance Chart, which were also the song's peak positions on those charts.

The group co-wrote the song with Frank Nobel and producers Kamille and Goldfingers a year before it was chosen as the album's lead single.
