The communauté de communes du Pays Sostranien is located in the Creuse département of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in central France. It was created on 1 January 1996. [1] It was merged into the new Communauté de communes Monts et Vallées Ouest Creuse in January 2017, but this merger was revoked and the former communautés de communes were recreated on 31 December 2019. [2] Its seat is La Souterraine. [1] Its area is 273.3 km2, and its population was 10,654 in 2018. [3]

It was merged into the new Communauté de communes Monts et Vallées Ouest Creuse in January 2017, but this merger was revoked and the former communautés de communes were recreated on 31 December 2019. Its area is 339.5 km2, and its population was 6,958 in 2019. Its seat is in Dun-le-Palestel.

Its area is 908.6 km2, and its population was 13,563 in 2018. Its seat is in Saint-Dizier-Masbaraud.

The Communauté de communes Monts et Vallées Ouest Creuse was a short-lived communauté de communes, an intercommunal structure, in the Creuse department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, central France. It was created in January 2017 by the merger of the communautés de communes Pays Dunois, Pays Sostranien and Bénévent-Grand-Bourg. This merger was revoked by the administrative court, and on 31 December 2019 the former communautés de communes were recreated. Its population was 25,119 in 2016. Its seat was in La Souterraine.

It was created in January 2017 by the merger of the former communautés de communes Pays de Boussac, Carrefour des Quatre Provinces and Évaux-les-Bains Chambon-sur-Voueize. Its area is 985.3 km2, and its population was 16,589 in 2018. Its seat is in Boussac-Bourg.
