Route 322 is a state highway in west central Connecticut, running from Wolcott to Southington.
Route 322 begins at an intersection with Route 69 in Wolcott and passes through the town center as it curves east, southeast, and south to the southeast corner of the town. It then turns onto Meriden Road, and descends into Southington, becoming Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike. In Southington, it continues in a generally east-southeasterly direction just north of the Southington-Cheshire town line. It intersects I-84 at exit 28, and then meets Route 10 at a grade separated intersection. It briefly crosses into Cheshire before crossing the Quinnipiac River and reentering southeastern Southington. It meets the southern end of Route 120 before ending at an interchange with I-691 near the Southington-Meriden town line. The road continues into Meriden as West Main Street. [1]
Route 322 was established in 1963, running from Route 69 to then US 6A (Meriden Road) in Wolcott. The year before becoming a signed route, Route 322 was taken over by the state and designated as unsigned SR 522 as part of the Route Reclassification Act. In 1967, with the decommissioning of US 6A, it was extended east along former US 6A to I-84 in Southington. In 1987, with the opening of I-691, the portion from I-84 to exit 4 of I-691 was transferred from Route 66 (which was truncated to I-91) to Route 322.[ citation needed ]

Interstate 691 (I-691) is an auxiliary Interstate Highway in Connecticut beginning at I-91 in Meriden and ending at I-84 near the Cheshire–Southington town line. According to the Federal Highway Administration, it is 8.38 miles (13.49 km) in length; however, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) includes the 0.54 miles of the exit ramp that I-691 uses to the merge with westbound I-84, making their recorded length 8.92 miles (14.36 km) long.
U.S. Route 202 (US 202) is a spur route of US 2. It follows a northeasterly and southwesterly direction stretching from Delaware in the south to Maine in the north and traveling through the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The highway has borne the number 202 since at least 1936. Before this, sections of the highway were designated U.S. Route 122, as it intersected US 22 in New Jersey. Its current designation is based on its intersection with I-395 and SR 15 near US 2 in Maine, but it does not have a direct connection with US 2.
Route 15 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Connecticut that runs 83.53 miles (134.43 km) from a connection with New York's Hutchinson River Parkway in Greenwich, Connecticut, to its northern terminus intersecting with Interstate 84 (I-84) in East Hartford, Connecticut. Route 15 consists of four distinct sections: the Merritt Parkway, the Wilbur Cross Parkway, most of the Berlin Turnpike, and part of the Wilbur Cross Highway. The unified designation was applied to these separate highways in 1948 to provide a continuous through route from New York to Massachusetts. The parkway section of Route 15 is often referred to locally as "The Merritt".
Interstate 84 (I-84) is an Interstate Highway in the Northeastern United States that extends from Dunmore, Pennsylvania, near Scranton at an interchange with I-81 east to Sturbridge, Massachusetts, at an interchange with the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90). Among the major cities that the road passes through is Hartford, Connecticut, and the road provides a major portion of the primary route between New York City and Boston. Another highway named I-84 is located in the Northwestern United States.
Route 66 is an east-west state highway running from Meriden to Windham, serving as an alternate east–west route to US 6 through east-central Connecticut.
Route 69 is a primary north–south state highway in the U.S. state of Connecticut connecting the city of New Haven to the city of Bristol in the western part of Greater Hartford, passing through Greater Waterbury along the way. The route extends north of Bristol as a secondary route into the town of Burlington. Route 69 is 35.16 miles (56.58 km) in total length.
Route 70 is a 10.92-mile-long (17.57 km) state highway in the U.S. state of Connecticut, connecting the towns of Cheshire and Meriden. The western half of the route is an important link between the Greater New Haven and the Greater Waterbury areas and is part of the state primary highway system. It runs in a “U” Shaped Pattern.
U.S. Route 6 (US 6) within the state of Connecticut runs for 116.33 miles (187.21 km) from the New York state line near Danbury to the Rhode Island state line in Killingly. West of Hartford, the route either closely parallels or runs along Interstate 84 (I-84), which has largely supplanted US 6 as a through route in western Connecticut. East of Hartford, US 6 serves as a primary route for travel between Hartford and Providence.
Connecticut Route 14 is one of several secondary routes from eastern Connecticut into Rhode Island. It runs from the Willimantic section of the town of Windham to the Rhode Island state line in Sterling.
Route 64 is a Connecticut state highway connecting the towns of Woodbury and Waterbury via Middlebury.
The Wilbur Cross Highway is a freeway running along a portion of Connecticut Route 15 and U.S. Route 5 from Wethersfield to East Hartford, Connecticut, and then continuing northeast as a section of Interstate 84, part of which is also cosigned as U.S. Route 6. The freeway ends at a junction with the tolled Massachusetts Turnpike in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. The entire route was formerly signed as Route 15.
Connecticut Route 10 is a state highway that runs between New Haven and the state line near Granby. It continues north of the state line as Massachusetts Route 10, which in turn continues directly to New Hampshire Route 10.
Route 31 is a north–south state highway in Connecticut running for 14.34 miles (23.08 km) from Route 74 in Vernon to Route 32 in Mansfield. Although it is officially logged as an east-west route, it is signed north-south.
Route 150 is a state highway in southern Connecticut running for 9.04 miles (14.55 km) from the village of Northford, in the town of North Branford, through the center of Wallingford, to the village of Yalesville in Wallingford.
Route 71 is a north–south state highway in Connecticut, running from Wallingford to West Hartford. It is the main north–south road of Meriden, Berlin and New Britain.
U.S. Route 5 (US 5), a north–south United States Numbered Highway that is generally paralleled by Interstate 91 (I-91), begins at the city of New Haven in Connecticut and heads north through western Massachusetts and eastern Vermont to the international border with Canada. Within Connecticut, US 5 proceeds north from New Haven and passes through Meriden and Hartford toward Springfield, Massachusetts.
U.S. Route 84 is a U.S. highway that runs from Pagosa Springs, CO to Midway, GA. In Texas, the highway enters the state from New Mexico at Farwell, near the Panhandle region. Major cities along the highway include Lubbock, Abilene, Waco and Palestine. The highway exits Texas into Louisiana near Joaquin, crossing the Toledo Bend Reservoir.
Route 120 is a state highway in Connecticut, running entirely in the town of Southington. It serves as a more direct connection between the town center of Southington and the city of Meriden.
