Clan of Xymox, also known as simply Xymox, are a Dutch rock band formed in 1981 best known as pioneers of darkwave music. Clan of Xymox featured a trio of singer-songwriters – Ronny Moorings, Anka Wolbert, and Pieter Nooten – and gained success in the 1980s, releasing their first two albums on 4AD, before releasing their third and fourth albums on Wing Records and scoring a hit single in the United States. The band is still active, continuing to tour and release records with Moorings as the sole remaining original member.

Sound Team was an American band based in Austin, Texas, that formed in 2000 around principal songwriters Bill Baird and Matt Oliver. For most of their recording career, Sound Team consisted of Bill Baird, Matt Oliver, Jordan Johns, Sam Sanford (guitar), Michael Baird and Gabe Pearlman (organ). Sanford and Michael Baird left the group in 2006. The band continued to record and tour briefly with a new line-up, but finally disbanded in late 2007.

"So Excited" is a song recorded by American singer Janet Jackson, featuring guest vocals from rapper Khia, for Jackson's ninth studio album 20 Y.O. (2006). The song was written by Jackson, Jermaine Dupri, James Phillips, Johntá Austin, James Harris III, Terry Lewis and Khia Chambers, with Herbie Hancock, Michael Beinhorn and Bill Laswell also receiving songwriting credits for sampling Hancock's 1983 song "Rockit". Production for "So Excited" was handled by Dupri, LRoc, Jam, Lewis and Jackson. "So Excited" is musically a hip hop and dance song which lyrically expresses submission from a woman to her lover. It was released on August 28, 2006, by Virgin Records as the second single from 20 Y.O.
"Sin Sin Sin" is a song by British singer Robbie Williams from his sixth studio album, Intensive Care (2005). It was released as the fourth and last single the album on 22 May 2006 by Chrysalis Records. The song was remixed for single release, being at a quicker tempo than the original. Additional hand claps were added throughout the song as well as some new instrumentation to the choruses. The song peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Williams' first single to miss the top 20. Elsewhere, the single reached the top 20 in Australia and several European countries, peaking at number one in Hungary.

It is her sixth studio album of Swedish material, following her first and only English album The Change (2004).

"Lights and Sounds" is a song by American pop punk band Yellowcard. The song was written collaboratively by all the band members for their fifth album, Lights and Sounds (2006). The track is built around a guitar riff, which is then followed with a repetitive drumming beat, then it is followed by a roaring guitar sound. The song's lyrics are based on the band coping with the success they were enduring when writing songs for their second album. It is also based on how they have aged in the process. "Lights and Sounds" also goes with what vocalist Ryan Key described as when he was preoccupied with making the album.

The radio edit version of the song was released as the first single from the album in January 2007 via digital download stores. On that same day, a 7-inch vinyl record featuring the radio edit and "High Point" was released in the United Kingdom.

"I Like It Like That" is a song by Swedish musician Per Gessle, released on 24 May 2006 as the third single from his 2005 album Son of a Plumber. The track was written by Gessle and was originally composed for inclusion on Roxette's 2003 greatest hits compilation The Pop Hits. The duo never recorded the song, however, as Roxette vocalist Marie Fredriksson had been diagnosed with a brain tumour before their version could be recorded. The single contained a B-side titled "Plumber in Progress #2", a compilation of song fragments from the Son of a Plumber album.
"Hey Mr. DJ " is a song by Swedish musician Per Gessle, released on 1 February 2006 as the second single from his 2005 album Son of a Plumber. A duet with Swedish musician Helena Josefsson, who contributed vocals to several tracks on the album, numerous publications praised her vocals and described it as the best track on the record. The song written by Gessle and produced by him alongside Clarence Öfwerman and Christoffer Lundquist. The single was a hit in Sweden, peaking at number 23 and spending over three months on the Swedish Singles Chart. It also entered the Dutch Single Top 100.
"C'mon"/"Jo-Anna Says" is a double A-side single released by Swedish musician Per Gessle as the first single from his Son of a Plumber album. Issued on 4 November 2005, the single was a top five hit on the Swedish Singles Chart, and was one of the best-selling singles of the year in the country. "C'mon" is a glam rock song, while music journalists compared "Jo-Anna Says" to the psychedelic pop work of The Beatles. The artwork for the cover was shot by Anton Corbijn.

Their first three albums, United (2000), Alphabetical (2003), and It's Never Been Like That (2006), were released through Source, Virgin Records, and Astralwerks. The band received major commercial success following the release of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (2009), which was released through V2 Records, Glassnote, Loyauté, and Cooperative Music. It was certified gold in Australia, Canada, and the United States. "1901", the album's lead single and "Lisztomania" the second single from the album were certified platinum in the US by the RIAA. After signing with Atlantic Records, the band released Bankrupt! (2013), which peaked at number three in the band's home country of France, making it their highest-peaking album there. The band's sixth album, Ti Amo (2017), had a positive commercial performance. The band's seventh album Alpha Zulu was released on 4 November 2022.
Charlotte Cardin is a Canadian pop, electro and jazz singer and songwriter from Montreal, Quebec. She has been nominated for 14 Juno Awards. In 2022, she received four awards for Artist of the Year, Single of the Year for her song "Meaningless", Pop Album of the Year and Album of the Year for her 2021 debut album "Phoenix". Her second album 99 Nights was released in 2023.
