Coprothermobacteria is a taxonomic class of bacteria in the phylum Coprothermobacterota. [1]
Currently, this class is represented by a single order of bacteria, with only one family to which belongs a genus ( Coprothermobacter ) of non-motile, rod-shaped microorganisms that stain Gram-negative, are non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, thermophilic and chemoautotroph. [2]
The family Thermodesulfobiaceae according to the LPSN is located within the order Thermoanaerobacterales and class Clostridia. However, according to the All-Species Living Tree Project it lies outside the clade Bacillota and the genus Caldanaerovirga does not belong to the clade, i.e. Thermodesulfobiaceae is polyphyletic.
Arcicella is a genus of aerobic bacteria from the family of Spirosomaceae.
The Dermacoccaceae is a family of bacteria placed within the order of Micrococcales. Bacteria af this familia are Gram-positive, non-spore-forming and non-motile. Dermacoccaceae bacteria occur on the skin.
Dermacoccus is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, chemoorganotrophic and aerobic genus of bacteria from the family of Dermacoccaceae.
Frigoribacterium is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming and motile genus of bacteria from the family of Microbacteriaceae.
Frondihabitans is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming and non-motil genus of bacteria from the family of Microbacteriaceae.
Gulosibacter is a Gram-positive, strictly aerobic, non-spore-forming and non-motile genus of bacteria from the family Microbacteriaceae.
Okibacterium is a Gram-positive and non-spore-forming genus of bacteria from the family of Microbacteriaceae.
Microcella is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, aerobic and non-motile genus of bacteria in the family Microbacteriaceae.
Plantibacter is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming and non-motile genus of bacteria from the family of Microbacteriaceae.
Subtercola is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, aerobic and non-motile genus of bacteria from the family Microbacteriaceae.
Labedella is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, aerobic and non-motile genus of bacteria from the family Microbacteriaceae. Labedella is named after David P. Labeda.
Beutenbergia cavernae is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming and non-motile species of bacteria from the family of Beutenbergiaceae. Beutenbergia cavernae has been isolated from soil from the Reed Flute Cave in Guilin in China.
Longispora is a Gram-positive, aerobic and non-motile genus of bacteria from the family Micromonosporaceae.
Luedemannella is a Gram-positive, aerobic and non-motile genus of bacteria from the family Micromonosporaceae. Luedemannella is named after the Russian actinomycetologist George M. Luedemann.
Coprothermobacterota is a phylum of nonmotile, rod-shaped bacteria.
Coprothermobacterales is a taxonomic order of thermophilic bacteria in the class Coprothermobacteria of the phylum Coprothermobacterota.
Coprothermobacteraceae is a bacterial family of rod-shaped microorganisms, belonging to the order Coprothermobacterales, class Coprothermobacteria of the phylum Coprothermobacterota.
Coprothermobacter is a genus of rod-shaped microorganisms, belonging to the bacterial family Coprothermobacteraceae of the phylum Coprothermobacterota. This taxonomic genus has been reclassified in 2018, after different phylogenetic studies showed that these bacteria represented a deeply branched taxon of the domain Bacteria; consequently, the clade including this genus has been classified in a separate phylum from Firmicutes, the phylum where it was included before reclassification.
Coprothermobacter platensis is a species of moderately thermophilic and strictly anaerobic bacterium belonging to the family Coprothermobacteraceae within the phylum Coprothermobacterota.
