The Coroners Act 1988 (c. 13) is an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom that consolidated for England and Wales enactments relating to coroners. [1]

Contents

The act was broadly based on the Coroners Act 1887 (50 & 51 Vict. c. 71). [2]

Subsequent developments

The whole act except for sections 4A(8) and 13(1)(2) were repealed by section 178 of, and schedule 23 to, the Coroners and Justice Act 2009.
