The Warsaw Radio Mast was a radio mast located near Gąbin, Poland, and the world's tallest structure at 2120 ft from 1974 until its collapse on 8 August 1991. The mast was conceived for height and ability to broadcast the "propaganda of the Communist successes" across the world and even to remote areas such as Antarctica. As of 2023 it was the third-tallest structure ever built, after the Burj Khalifa tower in the United Arab Emirates in 2009 and Merdeka 118 tower in Malaysia in 2022.

The tower has had two iterations, one as a stalled construction project which was cancelled due to the Great Recession in 2008, and the other as residential which was announced in 2014. When completed in 2019, Axis Tower became the seventh-tallest building in Greater Manchester until the completion of the Deansgate Square and Angel Gardens projects. As of March 2023, it is currently the 18th tallest.

The building had been designed in the shape of the ship sail, with the project made by companies Laguarda Low and Urbicon.
Sky Gardens Nine Elms is a residential and retail tower in Nine Elms, within the borough of Lambeth, London. The scheme has been designed by architects Careyjones Chapmantolcher (CJCT) and developed by Fraser Property Development UK. The main one, Varso Tower, is the tallest building in Poland, the tallest building in the European Union, and the sixth-tallest building in Europe at 310 m (1,020 ft) in height. It was topped out on 20 February 2021 and completed in September 2022, with the opening of the observation deck planned for the first half of 2023.
