Cottage Grove Community Hospital was founded by PeaceHealth after the existing community hospital declared bankruptcy. [1] It is located in Cottage Grove, Oregon, in southern Lane County. The facility provides 24-hour emergency care and a 14-bed inpatient unit.
This hospital is not part of the Oregon state trauma system. Major trauma patients are transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield.
Cottage Grove is a city in Lane County, Oregon, United States. Its population was 10,643 at the 2020 census. It is the third largest city in Lane County. It is on Interstate 5, Oregon Route 99, and the main Willamette Valley line of the CORP railroad.

Lost Valley Educational Center is an intentional community and ecovillage located on 87 acres (350,000 m2) acres of mostly forested land in Dexter, Oregon, United States, approximately 18 miles (29 km) southeast of Eugene. The Row River is a river, approximately 20 miles (32 km) long, in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It rises in the Cascade Range and flows into the Coast Fork Willamette River near Cottage Grove. The stream was originally known as the "East Fork Coast Fork", but was later renamed after a dispute between neighbors and brothers-in-law George Clark and Joseph Southwell over "trespassing" livestock. Clark was killed as a result of the row. The name rhymes with "cow" rather than with "slow". A post office named Row River operated from 1911 to 1914 a little north of the present site of Dorena at 43.740123°N 122.880347°W.
PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend is a 388-bed regional medical center. The hospital is located in Springfield, in the U.S. state of Oregon. Established in 2008, it is the only remaining Sacred Heart facility in the Eugene-Springfield area owned by PeaceHealth. The RiverBend facility is home to a 24-hour Level II trauma center including full medical/surgical care. The hospital also provides full women's and children's services, including labor and delivery, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Oregon Heart and Vascular Institute is located within the facility, as is the Oregon Neurosciences Institute. With the addition of two pediatric surgeons since 2013, RiverBend is now the only hospital outside of the Portland area to offer pediatric surgery.
The Centennial Covered Bridge is a covered bridge in Cottage Grove in the U.S. state of Oregon. The Howe truss structure is 84 feet (26 m) long, 10 feet (3.0 m) wide and 14 feet (4.3 m) high. It spans the Coast Fork Willamette River alongside Main Street, carrying only bicycle and pedestrian traffic. It was built in 1987, the hundredth year since the founding of the city. Constructed mostly by volunteers, it was made from timbers salvaged from the Meadows and Brumbaugh bridges, which were dismantled in 1979.
The Chambers Covered Bridge is a covered bridge located in Cottage Grove, Oregon, United States. It is 78 feet (24 m) long and spans the Coast Fork Willamette River. It was built in 1925 to carry rail traffic hauling logs from the Lorane Valley to the J.H. Chambers Mill, a lumber mill which was located on an area between South Highway 99 and the Coast Fork Willamette River. The mill closed in the 1950s after a second fire burned the mill down. The railroad tracks were removed and the bridge was left. The mill property is now being developed as a housing development called Riverwalk. The Chambers Covered Railroad Bridge is the only remaining fully covered railroad bridge west of the Mississippi River.

Row River National Recreation Trail is a rails to trails conversion in the U.S. state of Oregon. It follows the Row River for 16.2 miles (26.1 km) between Cottage Grove and Culp Creek, passing by Dorena Lake, and provides access to many forest trails of Umpqua National Forest.
Mercy Medical Center is a rural non-profit community hospital located in the city of Roseburg, in the US State of Oregon. Mercy Medical Center has 171 licensed beds on a 90-acre (36 ha) campus, and the hospital has a heliport for patients arriving to the emergency department via helicopter. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Mercy Medical Center is the only hospital in Douglas County, Oregon, and has been since 2000. With 1,139 employees, the hospital is the second largest employer in the county, and in Roseburg.

Black Butte was an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It was located near Black Butte, a dark-colored mountain at the headwaters of the Coast Fork Willamette River, about 20 miles south of Cottage Grove, at the confluence of Garoutte Creek and the Little River. The Black Butte Mine, which operated from the 1890s to the 1960s, was one of the largest mercury mines in the state. Mercury contamination from abandoned mine tailings continues to be a health concern in the area, including mercury-contaminated runoff from Furnace Creek that has made its way to Cottage Grove Lake.
The Grand Lodge is a hotel and theatre in Forest Grove, Oregon, owned by McMenamins Pubs & Breweries. The building was originally constructed as a Masonic home in the 1920s, and was briefly the site of an orphanage. McMenamins became the custodian of the property in 1999, renovating and reopening it as McMenamins Grand Lodge in 2000.

The Corvallis-based nonprofit was founded in 1997 when Mid-Valley Healthcare in Lebanon and Samaritan Inc. of Corvallis merged in an effort to more efficiently serve their communities. Over the years other organizations have joined Samaritan Health, such as FirstCare Health (Albany) in 1999, and the North Lincoln Health District (Lincoln City) in 2001 and Pacific Communities Health (Newport) in 2002. Samaritan Inc. began in 1948 when the Episcopal Church in Western Oregon, enabled the Corvallis General Hospital's reorganization as a not-for-profit facility.
