[6] In 2013 and in 2016, Cristo Rey students were selected for the national Horatio Alger Scholar program, which honors outstanding students who have overcome early obstacles to their education. [7]

All students are offered retreat experience each year, and in senior year the three-day Kairos retreat. [8]

The voluntary service requirement for all students is 20 hours each year. [9] A special feature of the school's service program is its annual Community Service Day. [10] The school also hosts university students doing voluntary service projects. [11]
