Hedley is a Canadian pop rock group originating in Abbotsford, British Columbia, originally formed in 2003. They are named after the unincorporated community of Hedley, British Columbia, a name chosen after members heard that it was for sale for $346,000. Ten Second Epic was a Canadian five-piece alternative rock band from Edmonton. The band formed in 2002 consisting of Andrew Usenik (vocals), Daniel Carriere (guitar), Craig Spelliscy (guitar), Sandy MacKinnon (bass) and Patrick Birtles (drums). TSE released three full-length albums in the course of their career, Count Yourself In, Hometown and Better Off. "Like Light to the Flies" is a song by heavy metal band Trivium and is the first single and music video from their 2005 album, Ascendancy. The band originally considered using the song "Ember to Inferno" as their first single but changed their minds after recording this song. "Like Light" was released in January 2005 and features a mix of screaming and singing. The song contains two guitar solos which are played nearly consecutively to sound as one longer solo; a small interlude is played in the middle of them. The music video features original member Brent Young, and the version of the song used in the video is not the album version but rather the demo version, found previously on the MTV compilation album MTV2 Headbanger's Ball: Volume 2.

It was released on June 19, 2007, through Solid State Records and was produced by the band themselves and Tue Madsen. It is their first release with vocalist Jake Luhrs and bass player Dustin Davidson. It sold 9,000 copies in its first week on sale, and went on to sell over 80,000. A video for the song "Composure" was recorded and was released as a single on September 6, 2007. The second video from this album, for the song "Back Burner", premiered on Myspace Music on August 13, 2008. A vinyl copy of this record was also released with limited press numbers through the band's former label, CI Records.
"Nothing Special" is a song by the Canadian band illScarlett. It appeared on their first studio album, Clearly in Another Fine Mess. It was re-released on the band's second album, All Day With It, as the first single from the album. The song got into heavy rotation at Toronto's 102.1 The Edge, and Ottawa's Live 88.5, and has reached #1 on the MuchMusic Countdown.
