Cyndi Taylor Krier (born July 12,1950) is an American lawyer and politician.
Krier was born in Beeville,Texas,and spent much of her childhood in Dinero,Texas. She attended San Antonio College and Trinity University before ultimately enrolling at the University of Texas at Austin,graduating with a degree in journalism in 1971. Krier was involved with the Republican Party. She received her J.D. degree from University of Texas School of Law in 1975 and was admitted to the Texas bar.
Krier worked on the staff of U.S. Senator John Tower and Counselor to the President Anne Armstrong. She became a private attorney in San Antonio,Texas. [1]
Krier successfully ran for a San Antonio area seat in the Texas Senate in 1984. In the 69th Texas Legislature from 1985 to 1987,she was the only female senator. Krier was elected to a second term in 1988.
She was elected to two terms as County Judge of Bexar County,serving from 1993 to 2001.
From 2001 to 2007,Krier served on the University of Texas System Board of Regents. [2] [3]
She joined the San Antonio-based financial services and insurance company USAA in 2002 as a vice president of governmental relations. [1]

Leticia Rosa Magdalena Aguilar Van de Putte (née San Miguel; born December 6, 1954) is an American politician from San Antonio, Texas. She represented the 26th District in the Texas Senate from 1999–2015. From 1991 to 1999, Van de Putte was a member of the Texas House of Representatives. In 2014, she was the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor but lost the general election, 58-39 percent, to her Republican senatorial colleague, Dan Patrick of Houston. Following that defeat, she then resigned from the Texas Senate to run for mayor of San Antonio, which she narrowly lost to Ivy Taylor, 52-48 percent.
Earl Jeffrey Wentworth is a Republican former member of the Texas Senate from San Antonio. He represented District 25 in the upper legislative chamber from January 1997 to January 2013. In addition, from 1993 to 1997, he represented District 26, having been initially elected to the state senate in 1992 to succeed fellow Republican Cyndi Taylor Krier, when she became the county judge of Bexar County. District 25 included northern portions of Bexar County, all of Comal, Guadalupe, Hays, and Kendall counties, and a part of southern Travis County.

On May 9, 2015, the city of San Antonio, Texas, held an election to choose the next Mayor of San Antonio. Interim mayor Ivy Taylor ran for election to a full term and narrowly defeated former state senator Leticia Van de Putte in the runoff election on June 13, 2015, to become the first African American elected to the position. The election was officially nonpartisan.
Bexar County Learning Center is a secondary alternative school located in San Antonio, Texas, in the East Central Independent School District. The campus serves youth at the Cyndi Taylor Krier Center from across Bexar County. In 2019, the campus was recognized by Georgetown University for their Capstone Project to improve educational outcomes for students at the Krier Center. Former principal Dr. Dustin Breithaupt left the campus to join Lytle ISD as assistant superintendent.
