Cyndie Romer is an American politician serving in the Delaware House of Representatives for the 25th district as a Democrat. To win the seat,she defeated Republican opponent Lynn May in the 2022 election.
Romer has been married to Steve Romer [2] since 2002. Steve works at JP Morgan Chase,and they have two daughters and one dog,Bodhi together. [3] Outside of politics,she works at Diamond Technologies.. [4] She grew up in Hockessin with four siblings.
Romer attended St. Elizabeth High School and then attended University of Delaware with a degree in economics. [5]
The Delaware General Assembly is the legislature of the U.S. state of Delaware. It is a bicameral legislature composed of the Delaware Senate with 21 senators and the Delaware House of Representatives with 41 representatives. It meets at Legislative Hall in Dover,Delaware,convening on the second Tuesday of January of odd-numbered years,with a second session of the same Assembly convening likewise in even-numbered years. Normally the sessions are required to adjourn by the last day of June of the same calendar year. However the Governor can call a special session of the legislature at any time.

She previously served in the Delaware House of Representatives from 1975 to 1983,in the Delaware Senate from 1983 to 1993,and as 23rd lieutenant governor of Delaware from 1993 to 2001. A member of the Democratic Party,she was the first and only female governor of Delaware. She was originally from Milford,in Kent County,Delaware.
