The league is contested by 14 teams and runs from August to May, with the three lowest-placed teams being relegated to the Cypriot Second Division, and replaced by the top three teams in that division.

Cyprus national cricket team

The Cypriot national cricket team is the team that represents the Republic of Cyprus in international cricket. They became an International Cricket Council (ICC) affiliate member in 1999, and an associate member in 2017, although it was not until August 2006 that they made their international debut, finishing as runners up in Division Four of the European Championship.

2021 UEFA European Under-17 Championship International football competition

The 2021 UEFA European Under-17 Championship was originally to be held as the 19th edition of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship, the annual international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-17 national teams of Europe. The tournament should have been held in Cyprus between 6 and 22 May 2021. A total of 16 teams were scheduled to play in the tournament, with players born on or after 1 January 2004 eligible to participate.

Androniki Lada is a Cypriot discus thrower who has won seven consecutive national championships. Lada finished second in the discus event at the 2017 Games of the Small States of Europe, first in the discus event at the 2022 Balkan Athletics Championships and third at the 2022 Championships of the Small States of Europe. She came eighth at the discus event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The 2001 Cyprus Rally was the sixth round of the 2001 World Rally Championship. The race was held over three days between 1 June and 3 June 2001, and was won by Ford's Colin McRae, his 22nd win in the World Rally Championship.
