The Japan Championships in Athletics is an annual outdoor track and field competition, organized by Japan Association of Athletics Federations. Currently it takes place in June or July. The competition is also for the qualifying trial for the Japanese national team of international competitions.
Japan sent 41 athletes to the 14th IAAF World Championships in Moscow, Russia. The Japan team were announced by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations after the 2013 Japan Championships in Athletics.
The Lake Saroma Ultramarathon is an annual 100 km and 50 km Ultramarathon foot road race held in June in the northeastern shore of Hokkaido, Japan since 1987. It is an IAU-labeled official 100 km and 50 km race, and an official JAAF race, and an AIMS -certified course. Its 1994 event was Asia's first IAU 100 km World Championship, and its 20th event in 2005 was also held as the IAU 100 km Road World Championship.
Mizuho Katayama is a synchronized swimming coach in Japan. Born to a Korean family in Japan, she participated in Japanese domestic synchronized swimming competitions under the name Mizuho Kōchi, and represented South Korea in international competitions under the name Kim Mijinsu, most notably in the women's solo and women's duet competitions at the 1988 Summer Olympics. After her retirement from the South Korean national team, she married and began using her current name.
Yūki Ishikawa is a Japanese male professional volleyball player from Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.
The All-Japan Artistic Gymnastics Championships are an artistic gymnastics competition, hosted by the Japan Gymnastic Association. The first edition took place in 1947, and the championships has been held annually since then.
Shinya Wada is a visually impaired Japanese long-distance runner. Competing in the T11 classification, Shinya has represented his country at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, where he took the bronze medal in the men's 5000m T11 race. He is also a multiple World and Asian Para Games medalist, taking six medals over four tournaments.
Akiko Kuji is a Japanese freelance announcer, fashion model, tarento, and actress. She is a former Fuji Television announcer from 2017 to 2022.
Rika Usami is a Japanese karateka. She won a Gold medal in individual kata at the 2012 World Karate Championships after previously winning Bronze at the 2010 Championships. She also won Gold in the same category at the 2010 Asian Games. As of March 2021, Usami is coaching the karate team at Kokushikan University.
Hiroki Akimoto is a Japanese martial artist and kickboxer. He competes in ONE Championship's bantamweight and flyweight division, where he is the former ONE Kickboxing Bantamweight World Champion.
The 2020–21 Japan Figure Skating Championships were held in Nagano, Nagano from December 23–27, 2020. It was the 89th edition of the event. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, and ice dance. The results were part of the Japanese selection criteria for the 2021 World Championships.
The 104th Japan Championships in Athletics was held at Denka Big Swan Stadium in Niigata. Organised by JAAF, the three-day competition took place from 1–3 October and served as the national championships in track and field for the Japan. The competition originally intended to serve as the qualifying trial for Japan at the 2020 Summer Olympics, but both the national championships and the Olympics were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan. The long-distance competitions were held separately from the main track and field competition, with 3000 metres steeplechase, 5000 metres and 10,000 metres all set to take place on 4 December at the Nagai Stadium.
Kento Miyaura is a Japanese male volleyball player from Kumamoto City, on the island of Kyushu. Currently, he plays in PlusLiga for PSG Stal Nysa. He used to be the captain of Japan U-19 national team and Waseda University's club.
Kenta Takanashi is a Japanese male volleyball player. He plays in V.League Division 1 for Wolf Dogs Nagoya and Japan men's national volleyball team. He was the captain of Japan U-21 national team.
The 105th Japan Championships in Athletics was held at Nagai Stadium in Osaka. Organised by JAAF, the four-day competition took place from 24-27 June and served as the national championships in track and field for the Japan. The competition intended also to serve as the qualifying trial for Japan at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Tsubasa Hisahara is a male Japanese former Volleyball player who played for Panasonic Panthers in V.League Division 1. He used to be the captain of Japanese youth national team and was a part of Japan men's national volleyball team.

Shunichiro Sato is a Japanese male volleyball player. He currently plays in Tokai University and a member of Japan men's national volleyball team. He used to be part of Japan U21 & U19 national team.
