FINA World Aquatics Championships

The FINA World Championships or World Aquatics Championships are the World Championships for aquatics sports: swimming, diving, high diving, open water swimming, artistic swimming, and water polo. They are run by FINA, and all swimming events are contested in a long course (50-metre) pool.

Zambia women's national football team, nicknamed The She-polopolo or the Copper Queens, represents Zambia in women's association football. There is also a Zambia women's national under-17 football team, a Zambia women's national under-20 football team, and Olympic qualifying team and a Homeless World Cup team. The country has participated in several qualifying tournaments for the FIFA Women's World Cup and other African-based football tournaments. The team is currently ranked 94th in the world.

Tilka Paljk is a Slovenian-Zambian swimmer. She competed in the women's 100 metre breaststroke event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. She also competed in three events at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Paljk was born in Postojna, Slovenia. Paljk was named the Zambia Sportswoman of the Year in 2018 and 2019, and was named in Forbes Africa 30 under 30 in 2021.

Nicolò Martinenghi Italian swimmer

Nicolò Martinenghi is an Italian swimmer. He competed in the men's 100 metre breaststroke at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships. He won the bronze medal in the 100 metre breaststroke at the 2020 Summer Olympics. At the 2022 World Aquatics Championships, he won the gold medal in the 100 metre breaststroke and the 4×100 metre medley relay and the silver medal in the 50 metre breaststroke.

The 2022 World Aquatics Championships, the 19th edition of the FINA World Aquatics Championships, were held in Budapest, Hungary, from 17 June to 3 July 2022.

Lara van Niekerk is a South African competitive swimmer. She is the current African, South African, and Commonwealth record holder in the long course 50-metre breaststroke and the African and South African record holder in the short course 50-metre breaststroke. At the 2018 African Swimming Championships, she won gold medals in the 50-metre breaststroke, 100-metre breaststroke, 200-metre breaststroke, and the 4×100-metre medley relay. She won the bronze medal in the 50-metre breaststroke at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships.

Tomoka Sato is a Japanese artistic swimmer. At the 2022 World Aquatics Championships, she and her younger brother Yotaro Sato became the first pair representing Japan to win a silver medal in the mixed duet technical routine, they also became the first representing Japan to win a silver medal in the mixed duet free routine. She also won a silver in the team technical routine and a bronze medal in the team free routine at the same Championships. Earlier in the year, she won a gold medal in the mixed duet technical routine and a gold medal and a silver medal in the mixed duet free routine as part of the 2022 FINA Artistic Swimming World Series. At the 2018 World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships, she won three bronze medals in team events.
