Jean-Yves Prieur, a.k.a.Kid Loco is a French electronic musician, DJ, remixer and producer. He was born on 19 June 1964 in Antony, Hauts-de-Seine, France. Allmusic considers his style to be similar to Air and Dimitri from Paris. His best-known album is A Grand Love Story (1997), and he has also compiled and mixed a DJ mix album for the Another Late Night series on Azuli Records.

The Bonkers series was one of the leading happy hardcore compilation series in the UK. The first release was in 1996 on record label React, it was available on 2xCD and 2xTC formats. DJs DJ Sharkey and Hixxy were signed by React and the pair released "Bonkers", the first in a series of albums which has become the best-selling hardcore compilation series of all time. The series is on its nineteenth release as of 11 May 2009, with Bonkers: The Original Hardcore.
"Café del Mar" is a song first released in 1993 by the trance project Energy 52. It is named after the famous bar located in Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain. Almost instantly recognisable by its distinct melody, its popularity is reflected in the countless remixes that have since been created as well as its being featured on hundreds of CD compilations. The main melody of "Café del Mar" is based on "Struggle for Pleasure" by Belgian composer Wim Mertens.
DJ-Kicks: The Exclusives is a compilation album released on the Studio !K7 independent record label. Although it commemorates 25 DJ mix album in the popular DJ-Kicks series, this album is unmixed. Instead, it is a "best of" selection of tracks that were produced and performed by the DJs who mixed some of the earlier DJ-Kicks albums. Each of the tracks were exclusive to the DJ Kicks series and are available on those previous mix albums.

"Summer Jam" is a song by German dance music group The Underdog Project. It was released on July 24, 2000. It is the first single from their album It Doesn't Matter. The song was considered a big hit in Europe, as it stayed at number three on the German pop charts and was number one on both charts in Belgium and the Netherlands. After that, the single aired on some of the most popular radio stations in the US like WPOW in Miami and New York City's WKTU. The song was released in the UK in 2001, and re-released as "Summer Jam 2003" in 2003.
