Dacoit: A Love Story [1] is an upcoming Indian action drama film directed by cinematographer Shaneil Deo, in his directorial debut. Co-produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and Suniel Narang, [2] the film is being shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. [3] It stars Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles. The film unfolds as a tale of two former lovers forced to re-unite for a series of robberies that promise to alter the course of their lives. [4]

Dacoit is the directorial debut of Shaneil Deo. [2] Shruti Haasan, who was initially roped in as the lead, walked out of the film due to creative differences. [5] Mrunal Thakur was announced as the new lead on 17 December, coinciding with Adivi Sesh's birthday. [6]
