Dale L. Orem (born April 24,1938) [1] is an American businessman,politician and civic leader who served as mayor of Jeffersonville,Indiana from 1984 to 1991. Orem was active in sports by playing for the University of Louisville and later coaching at the school. Orem was also a National Football League (NFL) official.
Orem attended the University of Louisville and participated in the sports program there before graduating in 1960. Orem played for the school's undefeated baseball team in 1957. Orem was the quarterback for the school's football team,which he led to a victory over Drake,34–20,in the Sun Bowl in 1958. [2] From 1969 to 1973,he was the head coach of the Louisville Cardinals baseball team. [3]
His other sports functions have included a stint as an NFL official from 1980 to 1998. He served as a line judge in Super Bowl XXX. Orem wore uniform number 51 (currently worn by Carl Cheffers) for the major part of his career. He and his family (including his late wife,Kay) have operated the Locker Room Sporting Goods store in Jeffersonville since the early 1960s.
Dale Orem's service in public office began with a four-year duration on the Jeffersonville city council in 1968 to 1972 and extended to his two terms as mayor in 1984 to 1991. He has also been involved in many local civic organizations such as the Jeffersonville Jaycees,Jeffersonville Optimist Club,KIDPA,Red Cross,and Jeff Main Street. [4] Prior to his retirement,he also served as chairman for Heritage Bank of Southern Indiana [5] and was the founding executive director (in 1991) of the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. In 2003,he received the school's highest honor,the Indiana University Southeast Chancellor's Medallion,for work done with the school and in other civic organizations. [6]

Robert L. Waiz Jr is a politician of Jeffersonville,Indiana. He works in real estate and has been on the city council and served as mayor. Waiz,a Democrat,was first elected mayor in 2003,defeating two-term incumbent Tom Galligan in the May Democratic primary and then defeating Republican Monty Snelling in the November general election. On May 8,2007,he lost the Democrat primary against Galligan;who went on to win the general election in November 2007. Rob Waiz was the youngest mayor elected in the city's modern history.

Jeffrey Scott Brohm is an American football coach and former quarterback. He is the head football coach at his alma mater,the University of Louisville,a position he has held since the 2023 season. Brohm played college football for the Louisville Cardinals under coach Howard Schnellenberger from 1989 to 1993. He played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons from 1994 to 2000 and the XFL in 2001. Brohm served as the head football coach at Western Kentucky University from 2014 to 2016 and Purdue University from 2017 to 2022.

Lee Richard Corso is an American sports broadcaster and football analyst for ESPN and a former coach. He has been an analyst on ESPN's College GameDay program since its inception in 1987. Corso served as the head football coach at the University of Louisville from 1969 to 1972,at Indiana University Bloomington from 1973 to 1982,and at Northern Illinois University in 1984,compiling a career college football coaching record of 73–85–6. He was the head coach for the Orlando Renegades of the United States Football League in 1985,tallying a mark of 5–13.
