Dallas College North Lake Campus (often referred to as North Lake or NLC) is a public community college in Irving, Texas. It is part of Dallas College. It opened in 1977 and enrolls about 5,000 credit students and an additional 3,000 continuing education students.
In 2005 the college purchased a 35.8-acre (14.5 ha) tract of land in Coppell, Texas as the site of a satellite campus, which opened in 2008 as North Lake - North Campus. The North Campus location in far northwestern Dallas County pulls students not only from Dallas County, but also from neighboring Tarrant County and Denton County. The North Campus is also home to the college's logistics technology program.
North Lake - South Campus was opened in fall 2009 and is located on the northeast corner of Shady Grove and MacArthur Boulevard in Irving, with the primary purpose of providing educational opportunities for those in need of basic academic skills, language acquisition, and job competencies in the under-served areas of South Irving.
In 2019 the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) opened North Lake Early College High School, [1] which has a campus for students in grades 9–10 at North Lake South and will have a grade 11-12 campus at North Lake North. The school is not within DISD's boundaries but DISD is allowed to operate it as such under Texas law. [2]
The Dallas College North Lake Campus Blazers compete within the Metro Athletic Conference, a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III non-scholarship conference. Sports at North Lake include men's basketball, baseball, and women's soccer and volleyball. [3]
In 2006, the North Lake Campus men's basketball team defeated Rowan College of South Jersey (located in Sewell, New Jersey) team to claim the 2006 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Championship. The NL men's team won the NJCAA Men's Division III Basketball Championship in 2008 and 2017.
Montgomery College (MC) is a public community college in Montgomery County, Maryland. Founded officially in 1946 as Montgomery Junior College, its name comes from the county in which it is located. The earliest start date that can be contributed to Montgomery College is October 15, 1893, when the Bliss Electrical School began. Bliss was absorbed by the current college in 1950 and became the electrical program for the school.

It is the largest campus in the college, featuring about 20,000 students. Located on the old Jackson farm, the campus comprises 155 acres including Thunderduck Lake.

Vickery Place is a historic neighborhood in East Dallas, Texas, bounded on the north by Goodwin Avenue, on the west by North Central Expressway and Henderson, on the south by Belmont, and on the east by Greenville Avenue. The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNTD) is a public university in Dallas, Texas. It opened in 2000 as a branch campus of the University of North Texas, offering upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in multiple disciplines. In 2009 it became a free-standing university, offering a full undergraduate program as well as graduate work. UNT Dallas is the only public university based within Dallas city limits.

South Dallas is an area in Dallas, Texas. It is south of Downtown Dallas, bordered by Trinity River on the west, Interstate 30 on the north, and the Great Trinity Forest to the south and east. North Lake Early College High School, also known as North Lake Collegiate Academy, is a public high school located in Dallas County, Texas and operated by the Dallas Independent School District (DISD). It has a campus for 9th and 10th grade students at the main campus at North Lake College in Irving and will have a campus for 11th and 12th grade students in the future. Under Texas law, DISD can have operations, including schools, outside of its own boundaries, and North Lake College is not in the DISD boundaries. The school opened with grade 9 students in 2019 and will expand by one grade level per year.
