Dan Thurlow (born 1947) [2] is a Colorado politician and former member of the Colorado House of Representatives from the 55th District,which encompassed the Mesa County communities of Clifton,Fruitvale,Grand Junction,Orchard Mesa,and Redlands. [3]
Thurlow,a Republican,is from Grand Junction. Although his legislative website lists his occupation as "Business owner," at least one news report indicates Thurlow sold his business. [4]

A Republican,he was previously a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from 2009 to 2011. Tipton was first elected to the House in November 2010 when he defeated three-term Democratic incumbent John Salazar,and he was re-elected four times. In 2020,he lost renomination to Republican primary challenger Lauren Boebert in what was considered a major upset.
