Danger in the Past is the debut solo album by Robert Forster, formerly of the Go-Betweens. It was recorded in Germany, where Forster was soon to live.
Forster had recently moved to Bavaria to be with his future wife, Karin Bäumler, who appeared on the album. He said, "I phoned Mick Harvey, who was up in Berlin, and asked him if he wanted to produce it, and he was very enthusiastic." [4]
The album was recorded over 12 days. Musicians on the album included Bad Seeds Hugo Race and Thomas Wydler. Forster said, "It was a stressful time for Mick. He was - I'd call it co-managing The Seeds. But it was a beautiful atmosphere, it was going back to playing living, breathing music. It was the record I'd always dreamed of making." [4]
Forster later said, "Our work method was simple. Thomas would listen to a demo; Mick, on bass, would talk him through the arrangement; we'd go into the recording room, play the song no more than four times, do a take, and then go on to the next number. In this manner we were doing three of four songs a day. I was skipping between the recording and control rooms exalted. [5]
For the cover of the album, Forster was photographed in a similar to pose to a picture of James Joyce he'd found in a library in Ravensburg University, where Bäumler was studying, after he noted the resemblance to his grandfather. "I decided to replicate the photo for the cover and make no mention of it; just send it out in the world and see what people made of it." [6]

This was the final Bad Seeds album to feature Barry Adamson until he returned for Push the Sky Away (2013).

Nick Cave wanted to give the songs a raw feeling as originally intended before production problems occurred. Live Seeds includes a not previously studio-recorded track, "Plain Gold Ring", which is a cover of a song performed by Nina Simone.

Send Me a Lullaby is The Go-Betweens' debut album. It was released in November 1981 in Australia on Missing Link as an eight-track mini-album. It was subsequently released in the UK on Rough Trade Records, an independent music record label in February 1982, as a 12-track album.
Robert Derwent Garth Forster is an Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist and music critic. In December 1977 he co-founded an indie rock group, The Go-Betweens, with fellow musician Grant McLennan. In 1980, Lindy Morrison joined the group on drums and backing vocals, and by 1981 Forster and Morrison were also lovers. In 1988, "Streets of Your Town", co-written by McLennan and Forster, became the band's highest-charting hit in both Australia and the United Kingdom. The follow-up single, "Was There Anything I Could Do?", was a number-16 hit on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart in the United States. In December 1989, after recording six albums, The Go-Betweens disbanded. Forster and Morrison had separated as a couple earlier, and Forster began his solo music career from 1990.
Mutiny/The Bad Seed is a compilation album by The Birthday Party. It is compiled from 2 EPs, The Bad Seed recorded in October 1982, and Mutiny! recorded in April and August 1983, and both were released in 1983. The Bad Seed and Mutiny! were released as a compilation in 1989. It is written by Nick Cave, Mick Harvey, Rowland S. Howard, and Tracy Pew.

Live at the Royal Albert Hall is a live album by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, released on 24 November 2008. It was recorded on 19 and 20 May 1997 during the tour for The Boatman's Call and eight of these tracks were originally released as a nine-track bonus disc for The Best of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. It features a version of "Where the Wild Roses Grow" with vocals by Blixa Bargeld, which is delivered in a way that is similar to the demo version that can also be found on the B-Sides & Rarities three-disc set. These live recordings display the more mellow sound and performances that the group had been showcasing at that period, and would continue to deliver in the later No More Shall We Part.
Two of Diamonds is the fourth solo studio album by Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey, released on 23 April 2007 on Mute Records. The album contains both original compositions and covers and was recorded by Harvey over the course of three months in Grace Lane Studio, and later in Atlantis Sound Recording Studios, both in his native Melbourne and The Instrument Studio in London, England.
