Daniel Sylvanus Mensah Torto (born 1960) is a Ghanaian Anglican bishop. He has been the Anglican Bishop of Accra, in the Church of the Province of West Africa, since 2012. [1]
Torto was educated at St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School, the University of Ghana, Episcopal Divinity School and Vision International University.
His ministry has seen him serve at Mamprobi, Accra, Osu and Adabraka.
Immediately before becoming bishop, he was chairman of the Accra East Archdeaconry and General Secretary of the Ghana Anglican Clergy Association.
He is married to Gladys and they have four children. [2]
Accra is the capital and largest city of Ghana, located on the southern coast at the Gulf of Guinea, which is part of the Atlantic Ocean. As of 2021 census, the Accra Metropolitan District, 20.4 km2 (7.9 sq mi), had a population of 284,124 inhabitants, and the larger Greater Accra Region, 3,245 km2 (1,253 sq mi), had a population of 5,455,692 inhabitants. In common usage, the name "Accra" often refers to the territory of the Accra Metropolitan District as it existed before 2008, when it covered 199.4 km2 (77.0 sq mi). This territory of 199.4 km2 contained 1,782,150 inhabitants at the 2021 census, and serves as the capital of Ghana, while the district under the jurisdiction of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly proper (20.4 km2) is distinguished from the rest of the capital as the "City of Accra".

Justice Ofei Akrofi is a Ghanaian Anglican Bishop. He is the former Anglican Bishop of Accra (Ghana) and former archbishop (primate) of the Church of the Province of West Africa. He was elected to that position in 2003, which he held until 2012. The archbishop is married to physician Maria Eugenia Akrofi and they have two children.

The Anglican Diocese of Cape Coast is a diocese of the Church of the Province of West Africa, a member church of the worldwide Anglican Communion. It is the oldest area of Anglican missionary activity in Ghana. This diocese was created out of the then Accra Diocese in 1981. It has had four Diocesan Bishops till date.
