The Kvinde 1. division or Danish Women's 1st Division is the second-highest division of women's football in Denmark.

Format

There are 16 teams competing the 1st Division, divided into two groups of eight teams. They are divided into an East group and a West group, every season. The teams is divided from which location in the country, they are from. The two highest ranked teams in each group, will qualified to the Elitedivisionen Qualification round, were they play in a group of six teams. The two highest ranked teams will qualified to the Elitedivisionen, the upcoming season. The teams who failed to qualified, will play a qualification stage with the teams from the Denmark Series.

HockeyAllsvenskan

HockeyAllsvenskan is a professional ice hockey league, and the second-highest league in the Swedish ice hockey system. Since the 2009–10 season, the league consists of fourteen teams.

J20 SuperElit is a junior ice hockey league composed of 20 teams in Sweden. It is the highest-level junior ice hockey league in Sweden. The teams are divided in two groups, or divisions, Norra (North) and Södra (South), and are usually associated with a professional team in either the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) or HockeyAllsvenskan in order to develop talented youth for the professional teams. The winning team of the J20 SuperElit playoffs is awarded the Anton Cup.

The 2008-09 season in Danish 2nd Division will be divided in two groups. The two winners will be promoted to the 2009–10 Danish 1st Division, together with the winner of a promotion game between the two runners-up. Second squad teams are ineligible for promotion.

AaB Fodbold Danish football club

AaB, internationally referred to as Aalborg BK is a professional football team located in Aalborg. The club is represented in the Danish Superliga and has won four Danish football Championships and three Danish Cup trophies. Most recently the team won the double in 2014.

The 2009-10 season in Danish 2nd Division was divided in two groups. The two winners, Brønshøj BK and FC Hjørring were promoted to the 2010–11 Danish 1st Division, along with the runner-up from the West-division Hobro IK, after they beat their Eastern counterpart B.93 5–1 on aggregate in a two-legged promotion play-off. Relegation was decided when Otterup B&I from the West division lost 4–5 to BK Skjold in another two-legged match-up between the bottom teams from the divisions. This relegation was later annulled, as 1st Division relegatee BK Frem went bankrupt, forcing a further two-level-relegation to the Copenhagen Series and leaving an extra place open for Otterup.

The 2001 IIHF World Women's Championships Division I were held between March 20 – March 25, 2001 in the city of Briançon, France. Switzerland won the tournament with a narrow 2–1 victory over Japan in the final.

The Danish Women's League is a semi-professional top-flight league for women's football in Denmark. It is organised by the Danish Football Association (DBU) as part of the nation-wide Danmarksturneringen i kvindefodbold (Kvinde-DM) and is placed as the first division of the Danish football league system. Clubs in the league must meet certain criteria concerning appropriate facilities and finances. All of the league's clubs qualify for the proper rounds of the DBU KvindePokalen. The top teams of each season qualify for the UEFA Women's Champions League.

1st Division is the name of the second highest handball league for both genders.
