Dardavey (Persian : دردوي‎)^[1] is a village in Pain Khvaf Rural District, Sangan District, Khaf County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 40, in 10 families.^[2] It lies near the border with Afghanistan, between Sangan and Taybad. The 1997 Qayen earthquake affected this part of Iran.

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Sangan District is a district (bakhsh) in Khaf County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 19,726, in 4,291 families. The District has one city: Sangan. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Bostan Rural District and Pain Khaf Rural District.

Khaf County is a county in Razavi Khorasan Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Khaf. It is a small border town about 350 km from Mashhad.
