Darren Peter John Flint (born 14 June 1970) is a former English first-class cricketer and the current lead spin bowling coach at Hampshire County Cricket Club.
Flint was born at Basingstoke in June 1970. He was educated there at Cranbourne School,before attending Queen Mary's College. He made his debut in first-class cricket for Hampshire against Gloucestershire at Bristol in the 1993 County Championship. [1] His debut was met with success,with Flint taking figures of 5 for 32 in Gloucestershire's second innings,and scoring an unbeaten single in Hampshire's second innings to help guide them to a one wicket victory. [2] Following his debut,he made a further nine appearances in the 1993 County Championship. Thereafter,he made just four further first-class appearances,playing twice in the 1994 County Championship and once in the 1995 County Championship. [1] Noted as a promising young slow left-arm orthodox bowler,he took 34 wickets in his fifteen first-class matches at an average of 38.76;his best bowling figures remained those taken on debut. [3] As a lower order batsman,he scored 72 runs with a highest score of 17 not out. [4] Following his release by Hampshire,Flint played minor counties cricket for Wiltshire in 1996,playing eight Minor Counties Championship and three MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. [5] [6] He later played club cricket for Winchester in the Southern Cricket League, [2] captaining the side in 1997. [7]
Flint is currently a member of the coaching staff at Hampshire,holding the position of lead spin bowling coach,overseeing the development of spin bowling up to and including the professional squad. [8] Amongst those he has coached is the leg spinner Mason Crane. [9] He had previously coached cricket in North Hampshire,prior to his appointment at the Rose Bowl. [2]
Mushtaq Ahmed Malik is a Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer who currently acts as the spin bowling coach for the Pakistan Cricket Team. A leg break googly bowler,at his peak he was described as being one of the best three wrist-spinners in the world. In an international career that spanned from 1990 until 2003,he claimed 185 wickets in Test cricket and 161 in One Day Internationals. He was at his most prolific internationally between 1995 and 1998,but his most successful years were as a domestic player for Sussex in the early 2000s.
Derek Shackleton was a Hampshire and England bowler. He took over 100 wickets in 20 consecutive seasons of first-class cricket,but only played in seven Tests for England. As of 2007,he has the seventh-highest tally of first-class wickets,and the most first-class wickets of any player who began his career after World War II. He holds the record for the most first-class wickets taken by any Hampshire player.
Dominic Gerald Cork is a former English county and international cricketer. Cork was a right-handed lower-order batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium,and was renowned for his swing and seam control. In 1995,he took the best figures for an England bowler on Test debut,with 7 for 43 in the second innings against the West Indies.

Paul-Jan Bakker is a former Dutch international cricketer,who also played domestic cricket at first-class and List A level in England for Hampshire from 1986 to 1992,taking 269 wickets across both formats. He later played in the Netherlands inagurual One Day International match during the 1996 World Cup,before retiring shortly after the tournament. In 2007,he briefly succeeded Peter Cantrell as Netherlands coach.

Danny Richard Briggs is an English cricketer who currently plays for Warwickshire County Cricket Club,previously playing for Hampshire County Cricket Club and Sussex County Cricket Club. Briggs is a right-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Newport on the Isle of Wight and was educated on the island at Carisbrooke High School. Briggs is the first international player to be born on the Isle of Wight. Briggs made his debut for Hampshire County Cricket Club aged 18 in 2009,since his debut he has seen success in first-class and Twenty20 cricket. In 2011,he became the youngest English spin bowler to take 100 first-class wickets since Derek Underwood. He made his full international debut for England on 21 February 2012 against Pakistan in the fourth One Day International at the DSC Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
Frank Henry Vigar was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Essex County Cricket Club between 1938 and 1954. A right-handed batsman,and leg break bowler,Vigar served as an all-rounder with 8,858 runs at 26.28 and 241 wickets at 37.90. From his rained-off debut in 1938,Vigar went on to play 257 matches for his county. His greatest success came in the "golden summer" of 1947,where he scored 1,735 runs and took 64 wickets. A partnership with Peter Smith of 218 for the final wicket remains an Essex record.
Victor Henry Douglas Cannings was an English cricketer,cricket coach and colonial police officer. Born in Hampshire in April 1919,Cannings joined the Palestine Police Force in 1938 and spent the Second World War in its service. After the war he secured a contract in county cricket with Warwickshire,playing first-class cricket for the county from 1947 to 1949,at which point he had fallen out of favour at Warwickshire. He was signed by Hampshire in 1950 and played first-class cricket for the county until 1959,forming a potent bowling partnership with Derek Shackleton. He took 834 wickets for Hampshire,the eighth most taken by any Hampshire player. Following his retirement,Cannings took up numerous coaching roles,most prominently at Eton College,where he spent 24 years.

George Ernest Edward Lambert played in 334 first-class cricket matches for Gloucestershire between 1938 and 1957. He later became cricket coach at Somerset and played three times for the first team in an injury crisis in 1960. He was born at Paddington,London and died in Bristol.
