Kedah, also known by its honorific Darul Aman or "Abode of Safety" is a state of Malaysia, located in the northwestern part of Peninsular Malaysia. The state covers a total area of over 9,000 km2, and it consists of the mainland and the Langkawi islands. The mainland has a relatively flat terrain, which is used to grow rice, while Langkawi is an archipelago, most of which are uninhabited islands.
Darul Aman Palace is a three-story-tall palace located about 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) south-west of the centre of Kabul, Afghanistan. It sits directly across from the National Assembly Building, and is close to the National Museum of Afghanistan and the American University of Afghanistan.
Tajbeg Palace, also inaccurately called the Queen's Palace, is one of the palaces in the popular Darulaman area of Kabul, Afghanistan. The stately mansion is located about 10 miles (16 km) south-west from the city's center. It sits atop a knoll among foothills where the Afghan royal family once hunted and picnicked. It should not be confused with Darul Aman Palace, which is roughly 1.3 kilometres (0.81 mi) northeast from Tajbeg Palace.

The stadium was opened officially by the Sultan of Kedah in 1962 during Malaya winning 1–0 against South Korea. It has a capacity of 32,387 seats after the expansion in 1997. It was one of the venues for the 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship. It is the official stadium for Malaysian Super League club Kedah Darul Aman FC.

The 2014 Malaysia Cup was the 88th edition of the Piala Malaysia, a football tournament held annually by the Football Association of Malaysia. The cup began on August with a preliminary round. A total of 16 teams took part in the competition. The teams were divided into four groups, each containing four teams. The group winners and runner-up teams in the groups after six matches qualified to the quarterfinals. The 2014 Piala Malaysia ended on 1 November 2014 with the final, held at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, where Pahang defeated Johor Darul Ta'zim after a penalty shootout.
