Michael Paul Vaughan is an English cricket commentator and former cricketer who played all forms of the game. He served as England captain for the test team from 2003 to 2008,the one-day international team from 2003–2007,and was the first Twenty20 England captain from 2005–2007. Martin Bladen Hawke,7th Baron Hawke,generally known as Lord Hawke,was an English amateur cricketer active from 1881 to 1911 who played for Yorkshire and England. He was born in Willingham by Stow,near Gainsborough,Lincolnshire,and died in Edinburgh. He appeared in 633 first-class matches,including five Test matches,as a righthanded batsman,scoring 16,749 runs with a highest score of 166 and held 209 catches. He scored 13 centuries and 69 half-centuries.
Matthew James Hoggard,is a former English cricketer,who played international cricket for England cricket team from 2000 to 2008,playing both Test cricket and One Day Internationals. The 6' 2" Hoggard was a right arm fast-medium bowler and right-handed batsman.

He captained the England under-15 and under-19 sides,and in 2012 became the youngest man to captain a Yorkshire side as well as the first person of Asian origin to do so.
North Marine Road Ground,formerly known as Queen's,is a cricket ground in Scarborough,North Yorkshire,England. It is the home of Scarborough Cricket Club which hosts the Scarborough Festival and the Yorkshire County Cricket Club plays a series of fixtures in the second half of the season each year. The current capacity is 11,500,while its record attendance is the 22,946 who watched Yorkshire play Derbyshire in 1947. The two ‘ends’are known as the Peasholm Park End and the Trafalgar Square End.

The Yorkshire County Cricket Club racism scandal developed from complaints made in 2018 by former Yorkshire cricket player,Azeem Rafiq. Rafiq alleged that he was subjected to racist abuse and bullying during his two tenures at the club between 2008–2014,and 2016–2018 and accused the club of being institutionally racist. He complained officially in 2018,but an independent inquiry was not launched until 2020,leading to criticism of Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC) for its handling of the affair. The chairperson resigned in November 2021,being replaced by Kamlesh Patel. Two former England players have been alleged to have used racist language whilst playing for the club.
