David Daniel Masters (born 22 April 1978) is a former English cricketer who played for Kent,Leicestershire and Essex County Cricket Clubs between 2000 and 2016.
Masters was born at Chatham in Kent in 1978 and educated at Fort Luton High School and Mid-Kent College. He made his senior cricket debut for Kent in 2000 as a seam bowler. [2] He left Kent to join Leicestershire ahead of the 2003 season and was named the county's player of the year in 2005 after taking 45 wickets in all competitions. In August 2007 he agreed to join Essex on a three-year contract, remaining with the county from the start of the 2008 season until he retired at the end of the 2016 season.
Masters took 672 first-class wickets in his 16 year career. He was described as a "nagging medium-paced journeyman" and a "dependable performer" who led the Essex bowling attack in the later years of his career as a "metronomically reliable leader". [1] He bowled a range of seam bowling variations and moved the ball reliably. He was praised on his retirement for his "skill, consistency and longevity". [1]
Masters' best bowling performance was figures of 8/10 taken against Leicestershire at Southend in 2011. During the off-season he worked in the family building firm, initially as a labourer, preferring to keep fit by working rather than in the gym,and in his later career as a contract manager. [1] [3]
Masters' father Kevin played briefly for Kent in the 1980s. His brother Daniel played briefly for Leicestershire between 2009 and 2010. [2]
Jonathan Philip Agnew,is an English cricket broadcaster and a former professional cricketer. He was born in Macclesfield,Cheshire, and educated at Uppingham School. He is nicknamed "Aggers",and, less commonly,"Spiro" –the latter, according to Debrett's Cricketers' Who's Who,after former US Vice-President Spiro Agnew.
Alfred Percy Freeman, known as Tich Freeman, was an English first-class cricketer. A leg spin bowler for Kent County Cricket Club and England,he is the only man to take 300 wickets in an English season, and is the second most prolific wicket-taker in first-class cricket history.
Timothy Alan Munton is an English cricketer. He had a long career in county cricket, playing over 500 games combined between first-class and List A,primarily with Warwickshire before ending his career at Derbyshire. He also played two Test matches for England in the 1992 series against Pakistan, and went on a number of England A tours. A medium pace bowler and lower order batsman, cricket writer Colin Bateman stated,"at 6ft 6in,with an ability to make the ball swing,Munton is at his best in English conditions". His time at Warwickshire was a particularly successful one for the club, winning 6 trophies between 1993 and 1995;as a crucial part of that side,Munton was honoured as one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1995.
Arthur William Wellard was a cricketer who played for Somerset and England. A late starter in county cricket, having been told by his native county,Kent, that he would be better off taking up a career as a policeman,Wellard played on into his late 40s. He was a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1936.
Leslie Brian Taylor, born 25 October 1953,at Earl Shilton,Leicestershire,England,is an English former cricketer who played in two Tests against Australia in 1985. His first-class cricket was played for Leicestershire and in South Africa for Natal.

1947 was the 48th season of County Championship cricket in England. It is chiefly remembered for the batting performances of Denis Compton and Bill Edrich who established seasonal records that, with the subsequent reduction in the number of first-class matches, will probably never be broken. Their form was key to their team Middlesex winning the County Championship for the first time since 1921,although they were involved in a tight contest for the title with the eventual runners-up Gloucestershire, for whom Tom Goddard was the most outstanding bowler of the season. Compton and Edrich were assisted by the fact that it was the driest and sunniest English summer for a generation, ensuring plenty of good batting wickets.
Brian Anthony Langford was an English first-class cricketer who played as an off-spin bowler for Somerset. He captained the county from 1969 until 1971 and his career tally of 1390 wickets ranks him third in the county's history, behind only Jack White and Arthur Wellard.
Matthew Thomas Coles is an English former professional cricketer. He played as a bowling all-rounder who bowled right-arm fast-medium pace and batted left-handed. He most recently was contracted to Essex County Cricket Club and has represented the England Lions cricket team. Coles played for Kent for two spells either side of spending 18 months at Hampshire in 2014. In 2016 he joined Bangladesh Premier League side Dhaka Dynamites for part of their season.

A right-handed batsman, and leg break bowler,Vigar served as an all-rounder with 8,858 runs at 26.28 and 241 wickets at 37.90. From his rained-off debut in 1938,Vigar went on to play 257 matches for his county. His greatest success came in the "golden summer" of 1947,where he scored 1,735 runs and took 64 wickets. A partnership with Peter Smith of 218 for the final wicket remains an Essex record.
Richard Peter Davis was an English cricketer. Davis was a right-handed batsman, who bowled slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Westbrook,Kent.
Kevin David Masters is an English former professional cricketer. Masters was born at Chatham in Kent and played for Kent County Cricket Club between 1983 and 1984.
The 1979 Gillette Cup Final was a cricket match between Somerset County Cricket Club and Northamptonshire County Cricket Club played on 8 September 1979 at Lord's in London. It was the seventeenth final of the Gillette Cup,which had been the first English domestic knock-out competition between first-class sides. Northamptonshire had won the competition in 1976;Somerset were playing their second consecutive final, having lost to Sussex in 1978.

He made his first-class cricket debut on 1 May 2016 in the 2016 County Championship.
In 2017,Kent County Cricket Club competed in Division Two of the County Championship, the Royal London One-Day Cup and the NatWest t20 Blast. In addition, before the start of the English cricket season,Kent competed in the 2016–17 Regional Super50,the List A competition of the West Indian domestic season. This was the first time that any English county had competed in an overseas domestic competition. The invitation to take part in the tournament was largely due to the influence of former West Indian captain Jimmy Adams who had been Kent's Head Coach until September 2016.
