The Church in Wales is an Anglican church in Wales, composed of six dioceses.
The post of Archbishop of Wales was created in 1920 when the Church in Wales was separated from the Church of England and disestablished. The four historic Welsh dioceses had previously formed part of the Province of Canterbury, and so came under its Archbishop. The new Church became the Welsh province of the Anglican Communion.
Jeffrey Philip Hywel John is a Church of England priest, who served as the Dean of St Albans from 2004 until 2021. He made headlines in 2003 when he was the first person to have openly been in a same-sex relationship to be nominated as a Church of England bishop. Owing to the consequent controversy he stepped down. In the years since, he has reportedly been considered for at least seven diocesan bishoprics across England, Wales and the Isle of Man.
Barry Cennydd Morgan is a retired Welsh Anglican bishop from Neath, Wales who, from 2003 to Jan 2017, was Archbishop of Wales. He was both Primate and Metropolitan of the Church in Wales; Morgan was the Bishop of Bangor from 1992 to 1999, and was the Bishop of Llandaff from 1999 until his retirement in January 2017. He was the longest serving archbishop in the entire Anglican Communion.
Alwyn Rice Jones was Bishop of St Asaph from 1981 to 1999 and also Archbishop of Wales, the Welsh province of the Anglican Communion, from 1991 to 1999. During Rice Jones' tenure, the Church of Wales reformed its rules in order to ordain women priests, and to allow divorcees to remarry in church.
Robert Mar Erskine Paterson is a British Anglican bishop. He was the Bishop of Sodor and Man in the Church of England from 2008 until his retirement in 2016.
Gregory Kenneth Cameron is a Welsh Anglican bishop. He is Bishop of the Diocese of St Asaph in Wales, having been elected on 5 January 2009 and confirmed as bishop on 16 March 2009.
Phillip Anthony "Tony" Crockett was a Welsh Anglican bishop. He was the Bishop of Bangor from 2004 until his death from prostate cancer in 2008.
Andrew Thomas Griffith John is the current Archbishop of Wales, of the Church in Wales. He became the Bishop of Bangor in 2008 and was appointed archbishop in 2021.

John David Edward Davies KStJ is a retired Welsh Anglican bishop and former solicitor. From 2008 he was the Bishop of Swansea and Brecon in the Church in Wales. On 6 September 2017, he was also elected Archbishop of Wales; he continued in his role as diocesan bishop. He retired from both offices with effect from 2 May 2021.
Richard Paul Davies is a British Anglican bishop. Since September 2023, he has been Bishop of Dorking in the Church of England's Diocese of Guildford. He was Archdeacon of Bangor from 2012 to 2017 and then Archdeacon of Surrey from 2017 until becoming a bishop.

The Archdeacon of Llandaff is a senior ecclesiastical officer in the Church in Wales Diocese of Llandaff. The archdeacon is the senior priest with responsibility over the area of the archdeaconry of Llandaff, one of three archdeaconries in the diocese. The archdeaconry of Llandaff currently consists of five deaneries: Cardiff, Llandaff, Merthyr Tydfil & Caerphilly, Pontypridd, and Penarth & Barry.
Susan Helen Jones is a Welsh Anglican priest. Since May 2018, she has been Dean of Liverpool in the Church of England. She was Dean of Bangor from 2011 to May 2015 and Director of Mission and Ministry in the Diocese of Derby from May 2015 to 2018.
The Diocese of Bangor is a diocese of the Church in Wales in North West Wales. The diocese covers Anglesey, most of Caernarfonshire and Merionethshire and the western part of Montgomeryshire.
Kathy Louise Jones is a Welsh Anglican priest and chaplain. From January 2016 to June 2021, she was Dean of Bangor making her one of the most senior priests in the Church in Wales. Previously, she was the Lead Chaplain of the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in the Diocese of Newcastle, Church of England.
Joanna Susan Penberthy is a retired Welsh Anglican bishop. From 2016 until 2023 she served as the Bishop of St Davids in the Church in Wales. She was the first woman to become a bishop in the Church in Wales, when she was consecrated a bishop on 21 January 2017.
Mary Kathleen Rose Stallard is an Anglican bishop serving as the Bishop of Llandaff; she previously served as Archdeacon of Bangor and Assistant Bishop of Bangor.
