Gilberto Santa Rosa, nicknamed "El Caballero de la Salsa", is a Puerto Rican bandleader and singer of salsa and bolero. He is a six time Grammy Award winner and has sold over three million records in the United States and Puerto Rico. Santa Rosa also starred in a comedy.
Víctor Manuel Ruiz Velázquez, known professionally as Víctor Manuelle, is a successful Latin Grammy nominated American salsa singer, known to his fans as El Sonero de la Juventud. He is identified primarily with salsa romántica or "salsa monga". Víctor Manuelle has neither recorded in English, nor made a Latin pop album, nor ventured into acting, preferring to remain a musician grounded within salsa music.

Una Navidad con Gilberto, is the title of a Christmas album released by Puerto-Rican singer Gilberto Santa Rosa on October 14, 2008 by Sony BMG Norte. It was the first time that Gilberto released his own Christmas album. He previous collaborated with various artists on the Tarjeta de Navidad by Sony Discos. In addition, he collaborated with Puerto Rican salsa group El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico on their album, Asi es Nuestra Navidad. The album peaked at number-six in the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart and number twenty-two on the Billboard Holiday Albums chart. It remained on the Top Latin Album charts for thirteen weeks. The album reached number-one on the Tropical Albums where it spent three weeks on the spot. At the Latin Grammy Awards of 2009, the album received a Latin Grammy Award for "Best Traditional Tropical Album".

¡Celia Cruz: Azúcar! was a tribute special held in honor of Cuban performer Celia Cruz. It was hosted by American singer Marc Anthony and Cuban-American singer Gloria Estefan. It featured musical performances by various Latin music and Anglo performers including Victor Manuelle, Paulina Rubio, José Feliciano, Milly Quezada, Los Tri-O, Gloria Estefan, Patti Labelle, Arturo Sandoval, Ana Gabriel, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Tito Nieves, Albita, Johnny Pacheco, Alfredo de la Fe, Alicia Villareal, Olga Tañón, Mikey Perfecto, José Alberto "El Canario", Rosario, Luis Enrique, Marc Anthony and Gloria Gaynor. This was Cruz's final public appearance, before her death in July 2003. The tribute concert raised $145,000 for the Celia Cruz Foundation.
