Dean Hurley is an American composer, sound designer, and re-recording mixer. [1] [2] [3] He has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award two times for the series, Twin Peaks (season 3). [4] He is best known for his frequent collaborations with director David Lynch. [5] [6]

In 2017, Hurley released the album, Anthology Resource Vol. 1 , which featured original material created for Twin Peaks and in 2019, Anthology Resource Vol. II: Philosophy of Beyond, on Sacred Bones Records. [7] [8]

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me is a 1992 American psychological horror film directed by David Lynch and written by Lynch and Robert Engels. It serves as a prequel to the television series Twin Peaks (1990–1991), created by Mark Frost and Lynch, who were also executive producers. It revolves around the investigation into the murder of Teresa Banks and the last seven days in the life of Laura Palmer, a popular high school student in the fictional Washington town of Twin Peaks. Unlike the series, which was an uncanny blend of detective fiction, horror, the supernatural, offbeat humor, and soap opera tropes, the film has a much darker, less humorous tone.

Angelo Daniel Badalamenti was an American composer and arranger best known for his work in composing for films. He is best known for his acclaimed collaborations with director David Lynch, notably the scores for Blue Velvet (1986), the Twin Peaks television series, The Straight Story (1999), and Mulholland Drive (2001).

The music of the American television series Twin Peaks, its 1992 prequel film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, and its 2017 revival series was composed by Angelo Badalamenti. Twin Peaks' co-creator David Lynch wrote lyrics for five songs used throughout the series—including "Falling", "The Nightingale", "Into the Night", "Just You", and "Sycamore Trees"—and three songs featured in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, including "A Real Indication", "Questions in a World of Blue" and "The Black Dog Runs at Night". Julee Cruise, who made cameo appearances in both the series and film, provided vocals for four of Lynch's and Badalamenti's collaborations, and jazz vocalist Jimmy Scott performed on "Sycamore Trees". Three of the series' actors—James Marshall, Lara Flynn Boyle, and Sheryl Lee—provided vocals for "Just You".

She also starred in two of Wes Craven's films: The People Under the Stairs (1991) and Vampire in Brooklyn (1995). In 2017, Robie reprised her role as Nadine in David Lynch's revival series Twin Peaks: The Return.

Anthology Resource Vol. 1: △△ is a soundtrack album for the third season of the television series Twin Peaks by supervising sound editor and mixer Dean Hurley. It features incidental tracks produced by Hurley under direction of frequent collaborator David Lynch as series sound designer. These tracks consist of ambient instrumental underscore and diegetic soundscapes showcased throughout the third season. The album was produced largely with analogue sound sources, designed to lend "sonic impact and emotional color to Lynch's vision."
