David Keith Lynch is an American filmmaker, painter, visual artist, musician, actor and philanthropist. Lynch has received critical acclaim for his films, which are often distinguished by their surrealist, dreamlike qualities. He has received numerous accolades, including the Golden Lion in 2006 and an Honorary Academy Award in 2019. In 2007, a panel of critics convened by The Guardian announced that "after all the discussion, no one could fault the conclusion that David Lynch is the most important film-maker of the current era."

"Oceania" was released as a promotional single on 13 August 2004, by One Little Indian Records. The song was written at the ocean's point of view, from which the singer believes all life emerged, and details the human's evolution, whilst accompanied by a choir. "Oceania" was generally well received by music critics, who believed it was the best track from Medúlla, although some thought it was not the best choice for a promotional release.

"Lost in the World" is a song by American hip hop recording artist Kanye West from his fifth studio album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010). The song features vocals by Justin Vernon of indie folk band Bon Iver, as well as sampling his 2009 song "Woods". "Why Don't You Bring Me Flowers?" is a song by Swedish pop music duo Roxette, released on 4 November 2016 as the third and final single from their tenth studio album, Good Karma. Originally composed by Per Gessle as an uptempo song, the track was recorded as a ballad on the advice of vocalist Marie Fredriksson. For its single release, the song was remixed by Good Karma co-producers Addeboy vs. Cliff, who restored the original tempo. The original album version of the track received positive reviews, with several reviewers referring to it as one of the best ballads ever recorded by Roxette while noting its similarity to the work of Enya.

It was released on March 25, 2019 by Broken Bow as the second single from his fourth studio album Tullahoma (2020). It was co-written by Lynch, Ashley Gorley and Zach Crowell, who also produced the song. Lynch described it as being thematically similar to "Small Town Boy", taking inspiration from a friend's Snapchat post of a farm truck. "Ridin' Roads" gave Lynch his seventh number-one hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. It also reached numbers five and 47 on both the Hot Country Songs and Hot 100 charts respectively. It was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and has sold 82,000 units in the United States as of January 2020. "God Control" is a song by American singer-songwriter Madonna from her fourteenth studio album, Madame X (2019). It was written by Madonna, longtime collaborator Mirwais, and American musician Casey Spooner. Madonna and Mirwais produced the song along with Mike Dean. Lyrically the song talks about gun control and also touches on the political climate of the United States at the time. It is an experimental pop, disco, hi-NRG and electropop song and features the Tiffin Children's Chorus repeating "We lost god control" all throughout. In the music video, we can see Madonna typing "we lost gun control" and not "god control" as the song title suggests.
