Deepak Baij is an Indian politician. He is currently serving as President of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee. He was elected to the Lok Sabha,lower house of the Parliament of India from Bastar,Chhattisgarh in the 2019 Indian general election as member of the Indian National Congress. [1] [2] [3]
Ajit Pramod Kumar Jogi was an Indian politician,who has served as the 1st Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh from 2000 to 2003 and a member of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly from Marwahi from 2018 to 2020 and from 2001 to 2013. He also served as a member of Lok Sabha from Mahasamund from 2004 to 2008 and from Raigarh from 1998 to 1999 and member of Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh from 1986 to 1998 and district collector of Raipur in Office from 1978 to 1981. He was a member of Indian National Congress till 2016 and the founder of the political party named Janta Congress Chhattisgarh and the 1st President of the party from 2016 till he died in 2020.
The 14th Lok Sabha was convened after the 2004 Indian general election held in four phases during 20 April –10 May 2004,which led to the formation of first Manmohan Singh ministry (2004–2009). Indian National Congress-led United Progressive Alliance won 62 more seats than previous 13th Lok Sabha. The Lok Sabha is the lower house in the Parliament of India. 8 sitting members from Rajya Sabha,the Upper House of Indian Parliament,were elected to 14th Lok Sabha after the 2004 Indian general election.
Mahendra Karma was an Indian political leader belonging to Indian National Congress from Chhattisgarh. He was the leader of the opposition in the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha from 2004 to 2008. In 2005,he played a top role in organising the Salwa Judum movement against Naxalites,a Maoist group in Chhattisgarh. He was a Minister of Industry and Commerce in the Ajit Jogi cabinet since the state formation in 2000 to 2004. He was assassinated by Naxalites on 25 May 2013 in the 2013 Naxal attack in Darbha valley while returning from a Parivartan Rally meeting organised by his party in Sukma.
Tejaswini Gowda was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha (2004–2009) from Kanakapura in Karnataka (India),representing Congress Party. This seat morphed into Bangalore (Rural) seat,and she contested from the new seat in 2009 when she came third. In March 2014 she quit INC and joined BJP.
