Deepak Shirke (born 29 April 1957) is an Indian actor who is known for his work in Hindi and Marathi films. He has been involved with more than 100 Hindi films, usually playing the role of the villain. Shirke has also worked in the Hindi television industry in the crime series C.I.D. as ACP Digvijay which aired on Sony TV. [1]

Career

His career extends from late 1980s to 2014 of which the best known films are Daag: The Fire, Anth, Tirangaa, Ishq, Judwaa, Bhai and Sarkar. He played the character of Constable Gaikwad in the Bharatiya Digital Party made web-series Pandu.

Gunda (transl. Goon) is a 1998 Indian Hindi-language action film written by Bashir Babbar and directed by Kanti Shah. Starring Mithun Chakraborty, Mukesh Rishi and Shakti Kapoor, the film was produced by Anil Singh and the music was composed by Anand Raj Anand.The narrative revolves around a coolie who vows to exact revenge upon a crime lord and his cronies after they kill his loved ones. The film was released on 4 September 1998. Over time, the film has gained a cult following, selling over 2,000 VCD copies at a single outlet. It also received a limited re-release in 2018. Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, also known as D-16, is a 2016 Indian neo-noir crime thriller film written and directed by Karthick Naren, and starring Rahman.
