Dev Khanal (born 29 May 2005) is a Nepalese cricketer and current captain of the Nepal national under-19 cricket team. [1]
Khanal made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Nepal against Papua New Guinea in Kirtipur on March 25,2022. [2]
He was the captain of the Nepal u-19 Team to secure the spot at super 6 in the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. [3] He was called for the national team after his brilliant performance in the U-19 World cup to play the ODI matches against the first-time visitors Canada. [4] In the second ODI,he scored 76 off 81 balls,building a good partnership with captain Rohit Paudel to help Nepal secure the match,and clinch the series in the process. [5] In March 2024,he was named in Nepal A's squad for their series against Ireland Wolves. [6] He made his Twenty20 debut for Nepal A on 29 March 2024,against Ireland Wolves. [7]

He captained the Nepalese cricket team from 2008 to 2019. An all-rounder,Khadka was a right-handed batsman,and a right-arm medium-fast as well as an off-break bowler. He made his debut against Malaysia in April 2004. Khadka played in Nepal's inaugural One Day International (ODI) match,against the Netherlands,in August 2018. He is often considered as the greatest cricketers of Nepal.

Rohit Kumar Paudel is a Nepalese cricketer and the current captain of the Nepal national cricket team. He made his List A debut for Nepal in the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament on 8 February 2018. He was inspired to play cricket after Nepal played in the ICC T20 World Cup in Bangladesh. In January 2019,Kumar became the youngest male cricketer to score an international half-century. The record was broken in February 2020,by his team-mate Kushal Malla. He is the all-time highest run scorer for Nepal in the ODI format and the first Nepalese player to score 1,000 runs in ODI cricket. He was named captain of the Nepal cricket team in November 2022.

He made his Twenty20 debut on 2 May 2022,against Zimbabwe A. In April 2023,he was named in Nepal's squad for the 2023 ACC Men's Premier Cup.

It was a tri-nation series between Nepal,Papua New Guinea and the United Arab Emirates cricket teams,with the matches played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures. The ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 formed part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. Going into the final series of the League 2 tournament,Nepal required four wins from four games to claim the third and final automatic place in the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier,at the expense of Namibia.
