Dev is an Indian actor who works primarily in the Bengali film industry. He made his acting debut with the Bengali film Agnishapath . He later signed up Ravi Kinnagi's Bengali film I Love You .

Cinema of West Bengal, also known as Tollywood or Bengali cinema, is the segment of Indian cinema, dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Bengali language widely spoken in the state of West Bengal. It is based in the Tollygunge region of Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The origins of the nickname Tollywood, a portmanteau of the words Tollygunge and Hollywood, dates back to 1932. It was a historically important film industry, at one time the centre of Indian film production. Deepak Adhikari, known by his stage name Dev, is an Indian actor, producer, singer and screenwriter, known for his works in Bengali cinema and more recently, a politician. He is also a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha representing Ghatal since 2014, as a candidate from the All India Trinamool Congress party. He owns the production house Dev Entertainment Ventures.

Srijit Mukherji is an Indian film director and screenwriter who predominantly works in Bengali cinema. His regular collaboration with veteran actor Prosenjit Chatterjee brought him into the limelight. His first feature film Autograph (2010), was a critical and commercial success, where he had written the script with Chatterjee in mind. His fifth film, Jaatishwar, won four national awards at India's 61st National Film Awards (2014). He won the National Film Award for Best Direction and Best Original Screenplay for his sixth film, Chotushkone, at India's 62nd National Film Awards. His eighth film, Rajkahini had been remade into a Hindi film titled, Begum Jaan, starring Vidya Balan in 2017. His 2018 release Ek Je Chhilo Raja won the 'Best Bengali Film' Award at India's 66th National Film Awards. His 2019 film Gumnaami won him the Best Bengali Film and Best Adapted Screenplay Awards at the 67th National Film Awards.

Abir Chatterjee is an Indian actor who mainly works in Bengali cinema. He is the son of theatre personalities Phalguni Chatterjee and Rumki Chatterjee. He started his career with Bengali television and made his debut in Bengali cinema in 2009 as a lead with Cross Connection. He is well known for appearing as famous Detective Byomkesh Bakshi in a separate movie series.

Ankush Hazra is an Indian actor, producer, dancer and television personality who primarily works in Bengali cinema. Having starred in over 26 films in his career, he has received several accolades including the Mahanayak Samman (2023), conferred upon by the Government of West Bengal.

Dev Entertainment Ventures Pvt Ltd is an Indian movie production and distribution company based in Kolkata. The company was established by Dev and Gurupada Adhikari in 2017. In a short while, it became one of the leading Bengali movie production houses in Eastern India.

The West Bengal Film Journalists' Association Award for Best Director is given yearly by WBFJA as a part of its annual West Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards for Bengali films, to recognize the best director of the previous year.

Aay Khuku Aay is a 2022 Indian Bengali-language action drama film written and directed by Sauvik Kundu. The film is produced by Jeet, Gopal Madnani and Amit Jumrani under the banner Jeetz Filmworks. The film stars Prosenjit Chatterjee and Ditipriya Roy in lead roles. The film is based on the relationship of a father and his daughter in rural Bengal.

The film is based on the life of Bagha Jatin, a freedom fighter who fought for Indian independence along with fellow members of the Jugantar. The film features a total of 92 freedom fighters.

Dawshom Awbotaar...For God's Sake is an Indian Bengali-language neo-noir crime thriller film written and directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Shree Venkatesh Films and Jio Studios. The film stars Jisshu Sengupta in the titular role and Prosenjit Chatterjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, and Jaya Ahsan in lead roles. The film went on floors on 21 July 2023.

Pradhan is a 2023 Indian Bengali-language socio-political action drama film co-written and directed by Avijit Sen.Produced by Dev, Atanu Raychaudhuri and Pranab Kumar Guha under the banners of Dev Entertainment Ventures and Bengal Talkies respectively, the film stars Dev, Anirban Chakrabarti, Paran Bandyopadhyay, Soham Chakraborty and Soumitrisha Kundu in the lead roles. Padatik is a 2024 Indian Bengali language biographical drama film written, directed and edited by Srijit Mukherji. The film focuses on Mrinal Sen's active lifetime and his contribution in the Bengali Cinema. The film released theatrically on 15 August 2024, India's Independence Day.
