Idhika Paul (born 2 July 1998 [1] [2] ) is an Indian Bengali television and film actress. [3] She works mostly in the Tollywood film industry, with a few ventures in the Dhallywood.

Paul completed her graduation from K.K Das College in Patuli, Kolkata.[ citation needed ]

Career

Idhika Paul made her silver screen debut with Himel Ashraf's 2023 film Priyotoma . [4] In 2024, she made her Tollywood debut with Khadaan starring Dev. [5] In an interview, she mentioned that she has been a big fan of Dev since childhood and never thought that she would be lucky enough to work with him. [6] She was praised for her vibrant performance in the film. [7]

Tekka (transl. Ace) is a 2024 Indian Bengali-language vigilante action thriller film co-written and directed by Srijit Mukherji. Produced by Gurupada Adhikari and Dev under the banner of Dev Entertainment Ventures, the film is based on a story of the same name by Bhaskar Chattopadhyay, which itself is loosely inspired from the West Bengal School Service Commission recruitment scam (2022). It stars an ensemble cast consisting of Dev, Swastika Mukherjee, Rukmini Maitra, Paran Bandyopadhyay, Sujan Mukherjee, Aryann Bhowmik, Sreeja Dutta and Aameya in her debut, with Kaushik Sen, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Sudeshna Roy and Srijit Mukherji himself in special appearances. The film follows Iqlakh, a poor janitor, who kidnaps a little girl and takes her hostage for 48 hours in order to demand his lost job.

Borbaad is a upcoming Bangladeshi action film, directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy, in his directorial debut and Produced by Shahreen Akter Sumi under banner of Real Energy Production. The film featured lead role Shakib Khan, Jisshu Sengupta and Idhika Paul. Shakib khan & Idhika Paul in their second collaboration following the success of Priyotoma (2023), which became the second highest grossing Bangladeshi film ever-made.

Khadaan is a 2024 Indian Bengali-language action thriller film written and directed by Soojit Rino Dutta. Jointly produced by Nispal Singh and Dev under the banners of Surinder Films and Dev Entertainment Ventures respectively, the film stars Dev in dual roles, alongside Jisshu Sengupta in lead roles, while Barkha Bisht, Idhika Paul, Anirban Chakrabarti, John Bhattacharya and Sneha Bose play other pivotal roles. It marked Dev's debut as creative director and a comeback to the action genre after a few years.
