Anandalok Puraskar

Anandalok Puraskar or Anandalok Awards [1] [2] ceremony is an award ceremony for Bengali film in India. [2] The Anandalok , only film magazine in Bengali language, published from Ananda Publishers and Ananda Bazar Patrika presents this award (Puraskar). The magazine was started on 25 January 1975 [3] and the awards ceremony was started in 1998. [3]

Yuddho is a 2005 Indian Bengali-language vigilante action thriller film written and directed by Ravi Kinnagi. Produced by Shrikant Mohta under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films, it stars Mithun Chakraborty and Jeet, two biggest superstars of Bengal for the first time together, along with Debashree Roy, Koel Mallick and Rajatava Dutta in lead roles, while Bharat Kaul, Kaushik Banerjee, Sumit Ganguly, Sanjib Dasgupta and N. K. Salil play another pivotal roles. The story revolves around a police officer who is falsely accused of murdering his wife and imprisoned as he has been investigating a rape case that involves the younger brother of a powerful MLA. The officer then manages to evade the prison and get his revenge.

Challenge: Nibi na Saala or simply Challenge is a 2009 Indian Bengali-language action film written and directed by Raj Chakraborty. Produced by Shrikant Mohta under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films, the film stars Dev and Subhashree Ganguly in the lead roles, while Rajatava Dutta, Biswajit Chakraborty, Supriyo Dutta, Kharaj Mukherjee, Laboni Sarkar, Tulika Basu and Partha Sarathi Chakraborty play other pivotal roles. The soundtrack of the film was composed by Jeet Gannguli and cinematography was by Somak Mukherjee. The screenplay and dialogues were written by Raj Chakraborty and N. K. Salil. Being a remake of the Telugu film Dil (2003), it also had some plot elements and scenes from Bunny (2005).

A remake of the Telugu film Gamyam, Dui Prithibi brought two of the biggest stars of Bengali cinema, Jeet and Dev, together for the only time on the celluloid.

Hemlock Society: Amader Kono Shakha Nei is a 2012 Indian Bengali-language black comedy romantic thriller film written and directed by Srijit Mukherji. Produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films, the title of the film is inspired by the erstwhile Hemlock Society, based in Santa Monica, US. It stars Koel Mallick and Parambrata Chatterjee in lead roles, while Dipankar De, Roopa Ganguly and Saheb Chatterjee play other pivotal roles. The primary missions of this society included providing information to dying persons and supporting legislation permitting physician-assisted suicide.

Sujit Mondal is an Indian Popular film director and Screenplay writer in Bengali cinema.He is popular for Family Drama. From 2009, he started directing Bengali feature films with Saat Paake Bandha. His also directed Franchise of Paglu 2 (2012).Shedin Dekha Hoyechilo (2010), which became one of the highest-grossing film of the year. Koel Mallick was seen as a warrior queen for the first time in Bengali movie Arundhati which was one of the most expensive Bengali movies in 2014.He started his career as an assistant director of Vikram Bhatt.

The 71st Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards were held on September 11, 2013 after six years, at The Science City Auditorium, Kolkata. honoring the best Indian cinema in 2012.

2nd Filmfare Awards East ceremony, presented by The Times Group, honored the best Bengali language Indian films of 2016.
