"Devil is a Loser" is the second single by the Finnish heavy metal band Lordi. It is one of six songs that have been made into music videos by the band. It was originally released in 2002, as part of the album entitled Get Heavy . [1]
Lordi, who are frequently referred to as a Satanic band, [3] often point to this song – which refers to the Devil as the singer's "bitch" – as evidence contrary to that assertion. [4] As the songwriter and composer Tomi Putaansuu (Mr. Lordi) puts it, "We have many fans who are believers. Devil Is a Loser opened the gates in that perspective. It has such a statement that fans in faith realised that these guys are on our side." [5] However, some still think that the band has Satanic, or at least demonic, influences as this song implies that Mr. Lordi is worse than the Devil.
"Devil Is a Loser" was one of six songs performed in the 26 May 2006 open-air concert in Helsinki, where the band celebrated their Eurovision victory, the first for any Finnish band, where the song "Hard Rock Hallelujah" won them a record 292 points. [6]
The music video for the song takes place in a rave called the 'Halloween BloodBathParty' where the track that is currently playing (the beginning of the song) explodes and comes to a startling halt. The crowd mills around for a few seconds before the song starts back up. Mr. Lordi rises up from behind the DJ and drags him into another room. The last image of the DJ is seen through a small window in a doorway.
Amen and Kalma are then seen arriving to the rave; the crowd grow frightened as the rest of the band appears silhouetted behind a ragged plastic curtain. A young man with plastic devil horns looks through a hole in the curtain but backs away when Mr. Lordi swipes at him. Next a girl in a white T-shirt walks up to the curtain to look through, but this time, Mr. Lordi grasps her head, possibly possessing her. She then drifts back through the crowd with blank, white eyes and an insane smile repeating a verse of the song. The curtain then falls as the speakers explode and catch fire.
The crowd runs, terrified, up to a chain linked fence and try to escape but to no avail, as Mr. Lordi appears behind them and they all vanish.
Lordi is a Finnish hard rock/heavy metal band, formed in 1992 by the band's lead singer, songwriter and costume maker, Mr Lordi. In addition to their melodic metal music, Lordi are also known for wearing monster masks and using horror elements with pyrotechnics during concerts and music videos. He is best known as the lead vocalist of heavy metal/hard rock band Lordi. In the band he is responsible for songwriting and creating all the masks, costumes, graphics and stage props.

"It Snows in Hell" is a song from Finnish rock band Lordi's album The Arockalypse. The single was released in a standard jewel case and in a digipack by the Finnish Posti-company. For the single release, Lordi produced a new version which contains softer vocals which would ultimately replace the original on the special edition of The Arockalypse. The song charted at number 2 in Finland.
"He's Back " is a song by American shock rock musician Alice Cooper. It was released as the lead single from his 1986 album Constrictor, and the theme song of Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, a slasher film and sixth part of the Friday the 13th film series released in the same year. Deadache is the fourth studio album by Finnish hard rock band Lordi, released in Finland on 29 October 2008. For the release of the album the band renewed their monster outfits. Deadache was released during the same week in about thirty countries. The official album release party was held at the Tavastia Club in Helsinki on 31 October 2008 (Hallowe'en).
Zombilation – The Greatest Cuts is a compilation album of the hard rock band Lordi. It was released in February 2009 in by Drakkar Entertainment in Germany. The album includes a collection of the group's best-known songs from their first four albums. Two different editions of the album have been released, a normal version and a two CD and DVD limited edition.
Scarchives Vol. 1 is a CD and DVD digipak compilation from the Finnish band Lordi, released on 3 September 2012. It contains rare archive materials from Lordi, and was released to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the band. The CD contains a previously unreleased studio album recorded in 1997, Bend Over and Pray the Lord. The original version of the song, "Get Heavy", and a previously unreleased song entitled "Hulking Dynamo" are included as a bonus track. The DVD includes a gallery of unreleased merchandise from 2002; as well as the full video from Lordi's first concert, which has an audio commentary by Mr. Lordi. The DVD was edited by Lordi's former drummer, Tonmi "Otus" Lillman.
Hella is a Finnish keyboardist and singer. She is best known as the current keyboardist of Finnish metal band Lordi. Hella uses Korg keyboards. She claims to be a big melodic metal fan, and her favorite bands include Behemoth and Children of Bodom. In January 2014, Hella recorded a song with a Finnish band called Postikortteja Helvetistä.
