Diana Nabatanzi is a Ugandan film entertainer, radio personality, TV presenter, film maker, essayist, chief and a scriptwriter. She is as of now a moderator at BBS Terefayina where she has different shows including a morning show called sumulula, kasukali and uga hood show.

Background

Diana is a Ugandan by birth to Fred Magala and Rosemary Nanteza, a second born of 5 children in Kampala. She was in her early thirties as of 2021.

Education

Diana went to St. Elizabeth primary school for her elementary level then she joined St Mary's Nsuba for her O level. There after she joined St Joseph Centenary school for her A' Level education. After completing secondary education, she did a diploma in journalism and mass communication at Kampala University. She later pursued a Bachelor's degree in business administration at Ndejje University.

Movie career

Diana started her movie career earlier while at primary by participating in school dramas and singing. After her senior six, she began seeking after her vocation in film acting. She joined a production company known as "Aromatic films" and she started featuring in movies such as Sikola, Bwebatyo, call 112, house arrest, abakyala bazira, the maker and bunjako the first horror movie that was produced in Uganda. In 2017 she acted in a drama series known as Nawolovu that was premiered at Bukedde TV, after her production company "Aromatic films" came up with another successful drama series known as Entuunnusi. She also starred in a drama TV show known as "Mistakes Girls Do" which was airing on a TV station known as Pearl Magic and was produced by Richard Mulindwa under Limit production in 2017. She also featured in John Segawa's Honorables that was airing on NTV Uganda and later at Pearl magic. [2]

Media career

Diana carried out her internship at a Christian radio station known as Prime radio while in pursue for a Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication. She later joined Uganda Broadcasting Corporation where she worked for 2 years and also Pearl FM radio station. She was also nominated as the best actress in TV drama 2016 and 2018 in the Uganda film festival awards. She was on billboard for an electoral commission advert.

Personal life

Diana runs a foundation known as Tanzi foundation. She runs a private life in that it's hard to tell the name of her husband. Rumour has it that she has two children which she denies publicly. [3] [4]

<i>Love Faces</i> (film) 2017 Ugandan film

Love Faces is a Ugandan drama thriller film written and directed by Usama Mukwaya. It is Mukwaya's feature film directorial debut, and stars Laura Kahunde, Moses Kiboneka Jr., Patriq Nkakalukanyi and Salome Elizabeth in leading roles. The film had a special screening on 31 August 2017 at the Uganda Film Festival 2017. It had its official release on 4 January 2018.

Gladys Oyenbot is a Ugandan actress, singer and producer professionally known by her mononym Oyenbot. She is known for playing Dorotia on Mpeke Town (2018), and as Beatrice on the award winning drama series Yat Madit Yat Madit (2016). In 2020 she starred in numerous films including a thriller film The Girl in the Yellow Jumper, in a legal drama film Kafa Coh, Family Tree, and Down Hill. She also had starring roles in a romantic drama series Love Makanika (2015) by Dilman Dila, Reflections (2018) by Nana Kagga and 5 @Home(2017) which aired on Fox Life Africa. Cleopatra Koheirwe is a Ugandan actress, writer, singer, and media personality. She has garnered numerous roles on different film and television projects locally and internationally.

Faridah Nakazibwe is a Ugandan journalist, who was appointed as Head of News at NTV Uganda, effective 31 March 2021. Replacing Josephine Karungi, who took up a job with the World Bank, as a communications consultant. Nakazibwe is also a Luganda news anchor and a host of Mwasuze Mutya, a show that airs on Nation Television Uganda and Spark TV Uganda, a sister TV in Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city.

<i>Kyaddala</i> Ugandan television series

Kyaddala is a Ugandan drama television series by Reach a Hand Uganda. The first season was produced by Emmanuel Ikubese Films and Reach a Hand Uganda. Set in a present day high school life, Kyaddala a Luganda word for "It's Real", focuses on real life social issues that affect young people across Africa and their attempts to overcome those issues. The series features actors and actresses from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Nigeria. Kyaddala premiered on 27 September 2019 at Kingdom Kampala.

Diana Nankunda Mutasingwa also referred to as Diana Mutasingwa Kagyenyi is a Uganda politician. She is the current Cabinet Minister of State in the Office of the Vice President of Uganda. Diana became the first Buikwe's minister. On May 19, 2021, Mutasingwa Diana Nankunda Kagyenyi was sworn in as the Buikwe District Woman Member of Parliament under the National Resistance Movement political party. She replaced Judith Babirye.
