Dick Figures is an American adult animated web series created by Ed Skudder and written, directed, and produced by Skudder and Zack Keller. [2] The series, featuring two humanlike stick figures named Red and Blue who are best friends, aired for the first time on November 18, 2010. [3] Episodes, which are typically under 4-minutes in length, are distributed on YouTube by Mondo Media. [4] [5] The series is aimed at mature audiences. [6] In 2012, Keller was nominated for an Annie Award for Directing in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production for the episode titled "Kung Fu Winners". [7]

The series, comprising over 50 episodes, has been viewed over 250 million times. [8]

After raising $313,411 on Kickstarter, Dick Figures was eventually given a feature-length comedy adventure film, titled Dick Figures: The Movie . [9] The 73-minute film became available on all major digital platforms on September 17, 2013. [10]

Although some spin-off material was produced in 2015, the original run ended with the final episode of Season 5, "Figured Out", in July 2014.

Spin-off

Chick Figures is a spin-off series that premiered in June 2015. It features Lavender and Scarlet, Blue and Red's daughters (as revealed in the special episode "Figured Out"). Four episodes have been released so far. The series was first featured on Like, Share, Die and was later released on YouTube weeks later.[ citation needed ]

Dick Figures: The Movie is a 2013 independent American adult animated fantasy action-adventure comedy film produced by Remochoso and Six Point Harness and distributed by Mondo Media. It is based on the animated web series Dick Figures. The film was written and directed by Ed Skudder and Zack Keller and produced by Nick Butera and Andy Fiedler. Skudder and Keller star as Red and Blue, two best friends and polar opposites who set out on a journey to find the Great Sword of Destiny for the Raccoon in order to save their friendship, Pink's birthday, and the world from Lord Takagami. It also features the voices of Eric Bauza, Ben Tuller, Shea Carter, Mike Nassar, Chad Quandt, and Lauren K. Sokolov.

Bee and PuppyCat is an American animated television series created and written by Natasha Allegri. The series revolves around Bee, an unemployed woman in her early twenties, who encounters a mysterious creature named PuppyCat. She adopts this apparent cat-dog hybrid, and together they go on a series of temporary jobs to pay off her monthly rent. These bizarre jobs take the duo across strange worlds out in space. He is known for his work at Illumination as the head of story on the film The Super Mario Bros Movie. He was the showrunner for the Cartoon Network animated series Unikitty!, the creator of the web series Dick Figures, and the co-director and co-writer of its Kickstarter-funded feature film Dick Figures: The Movie, alongside comic book writer Zack Keller, both of them voicing main characters Red and Blue respectively.

Zack Keller is an American writer, director, editor, and former voice actor known for his work on comic books, video games, television, and film. He is a narrative director at King Digital Entertainment and a creator and writer for Dark Horse Comics. He is the co-creator of the Mondo Media animated web series Dick Figures, as well as the co-director and co-writer its Kickstarter funded feature film Dick Figures: The Movie, alongside best friend and former business partner Ed Skudder, both of whom voiced main characters Blue and Red respectively. He has also worked as a writer on The Walking Dead: Michonne, Batman: The Telltale Series, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series at Telltale Games, and the animated television series Unikitty!.
