Directorate Sports and Youth Welfare also known as Department of Sports & Youth Welfare is one of the department of state government of Madhya Pradesh, [1] India, entitled for the development in the field of sports and youth welfare.

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) is the apex national sports body of India, established in 1982 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Government of India for the development of sport in India. SAI has 2 Sports Academic institutions, 11 "SAI Regional Centres" (SRC), 14 "Centre of Excellence" (COE/COX), 56 "Sports Training Centres" (STC) and 20 Special Area Games (SAG). In addition, SAI also manages Netaji Subhash High Altitude Training Centre as well as 5 stadiums in the national capital of Delhi, such as Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Indira Gandhi Arena, Dhyan Chand National Stadium, SPM Swimming Pool Complex and Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range.

Institute Of Engineering & Science IPS Academy Indore is an Autonomous engineering education institution under UGC guidelines, located at Indore city beside NH-3 in Madhya pradesh state, India. It was established in Indore on 19 October 1999 after securing approval of the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and Government of Madhya Pradesh to commence in the 1999–2000 academic year. It ranks among the top 45 private engineering institutions in India.

In the year 2013, an investigation into a minor complaint of misappropriation of funds disbursed under the scholarship scheme meant for tribal students, exposed a multi-crore scam spanning across Madhya Pradesh, India. The initial investigation revealed that huge amount of money was illegally siphoned off and thereafter, a special team was constituted to crack down on those involved. The tribal welfare department headed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan came under the Lokayukta probe.

The stadium is the base of Boxing Academy, Madhya Pradesh State Men's Hockey Academy, Madhya Pradesh State Equestrian Academy, Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, Madhya Pradesh State Water Sports Academy and DSYW Academy.

Sanjay Jagdale MPCA Academy located in Holkar Stadium, Indore. The academy was named after Sanjay Jagdale. Academy was established in 2008 is a cricket facility of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association for training young cricketers who are identified as having the potential to represent the Madhya Pradesh cricket team. The academy provides regular cricket coaching, specific nutrition, health check up, fitness management, and purposeful recreation along with the education to the potentially talented young cricketers. The academy has sub-academies in Gwalior, Sagar, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Rewa and Jabalpur.

Kunji Lal Dubey Indian politician

Kunji Lal Dubey was an Indian independence activist, lawyer, educationist and politician from Madhya Pradesh. He was the first vice chancellor of Rani Durgavati University and the chancellor of Nagpur University. He served as the first speaker of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1956, as the Finance Minister of the State in 1967 and was the president of the Inter University Board of India, Burma and Ceylon. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 1964, for his contributions to the society. India Post issued a commemorative stamp on Dubey in 1996.

He is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party and a member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly at Shahpura constituency from 2013 to December 2018. He lost the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly election from Shahpura against the candidate of Congress.

Sushil Doshi

Sushil Kumar Jain known professionally as Sushil Doshi is an Indian journalist, writer, sports commentator and the first cricket commentator in Hindi. Born to Niranjanlal and Madan Kunwar at Indore, in the second largest Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, he graduated in engineering from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) Indore and started his commentating career in 1968 at the Nehru Stadium for a Ranji Trophy match between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Over the years, he is reported to have covered nine Cricket World Cups, 85 test matches and over 400 One Day Internationals, besides several Twenty20 Internationals. His contributions are reported in making cricket commentary in Hindi popular. He has also written two books in Hindi on sports, Khel Patrakarita published in 2003 and Cricket Ka Mahabharat, published in 2016.

Arif Aqueel is an Indian politician and a member of the Indian National Congress party. He is the first Muslim MLA from Bhopal Uttar in the state of Madhya Pradesh. He served as a Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Minority Affairs and Backward Classes, Ministry of Bhopal Gas Relief and Distribution, Ministry of Medium and Small Enterprises, Government of Madhya Pradesh. He is the only Muslim minister in Madhya Pradesh to hold this post after a gap of 15 years.
