Disha Biswas (born 3 April 2004) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. [1] She was part of the team that won a bronze medal at the 2022 Asian Games. [2] She also played for Bangladesh women's under-19 cricket team in 2023 Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. [3] [4]
Biswas captained the Bangladeshi side for the 2023 Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. [5] In April 2023, she was earned maiden call-up for the ODI and T20I squad for the series against Sri Lanka. [6] In July 2023, She was also named in the squad for the series against India, but did not make her WODI or WT20I debut. [7] [8] Latter she also named in the national squad for the series against Pakistan [9] and South Africa, [10] but fails to debut for national team.
The Bangladesh men's national cricket team, popularly known as The Tigers, is administered by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). It is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test, One-Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) status. It played its first Test match in November 2000 against India with a 9 wicket win in Dhaka, becoming the tenth Test-playing nation. It became an associate member of the ICC in 1977, and competed in six ICC Trophies but performed inconsistently until 1997, which marked the year of their first major victory, winning the 1997 ICC Trophy held in Malaysia. This set Bangladesh on its way of becoming a Test-playing nation, a journey which ended with success in the year 2000.
Narangoda Liyanaarachchige Thisara Chirantha Perera, popularly as Thisara Perera, is a former Sri Lankan international cricketer who played all formats for the national team. He also captained the team in limited-overs formats. Domestically he plays for Sri Lanka Army Sports Club in the Premier Trophy and Premier Limited-Overs Tournament, and the Jaffna Stallions in the Lanka Premier League. Perera has played franchise T20 cricket all around the world for numerous leagues. Pramod Bhanuka Bandara Rajapaksa,, popularly known as Bhanuka Rajapaksa, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer, who plays limited over internationals for the national team. He is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium. He was born in Colombo. He is the only batsman to hit 2 sixes in the first over in a T20 World Cup match and the second highest individual run-scorer for Bangladesh in an ODI innings. Aiden Kyle Markram is a South African cricketer who is the current captain of the South Africa national cricket team in Twenty20 International cricket and former captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. Markram and captained the South African under-19 cricket team to win the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
