Dizzy Peyton [1] is an American college baseball coach, head coach of the NCAA Division I Horizon League's Northern Kentucky Norse. He was an assistant coach at Northern Kentucky from 2005 to 2021. Prior to coaching, Peyton played 1 season of college baseball at Northern Kentucky in 2003.
On June 8, 2021, Northern Kentucky announced that long-time assistant coach Dizzy Peyton had been named head coach of the Northern Kentucky Norse baseball team upon the retirement of Todd Asalon. [2]

Northern Kentucky University is a public university in Highland Heights, Kentucky. Of its 15,000 students, over 10,000 are undergraduate students and nearly 5,000 are graduate students. Northern Kentucky University is the third largest university, behind the University of Cincinnati and Miami University, of Greater Cincinnati's four large universities and the youngest of Kentucky's eight public universities. The complex is named for Bill Aker, who was the head coach of Northern Kentucky baseball from 1971 to 2000. It has a capacity of 500 spectators.
Craig Gibson is an American college baseball coach and former first baseman. He has been the head baseball coach at Mercer University since the start of the 2004 season. Under Gibson, Mercer has appeared in its first two NCAA tournaments. A Macon native, Gibson is a Mercer alumnus and played baseball for the Bears from 1983–1986, winning a conference player of the year award as a junior.

John Brannen is an American basketball coach, mostly recently serving as a program analyst and senior special assistant for the University of Dayton Flyers. Brannen previously spent two seasons as the men's basketball coach of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and four seasons as the head coach for the Northern Kentucky University Norse. Before that he spent nine seasons as an assistant coach to Anthony Grant at both VCU and Alabama. For the Tide's two games in the 2015 National Invitation Tournament, Brannen served as interim head coach.

Todd Asalon is a former American baseball coach and catcher. He played college baseball at Northern Kentucky for coach Bill Aker from 1980 to 1983. He served as the head coach of the Thomas More Saints (1995–2000) and the Northern Kentucky Norse (2001–2021).
The 2018–19 Northern Kentucky Norse men's basketball team represented Northern Kentucky University (NKU) during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Norse, led by fourth-year head coach John Brannen, played their home games at BB&T Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky as members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 26–9, 13–5 in Horizon League play, to win a share of the regular season championship with Wright State. They defeated Detroit Mercy, Oakland, and Wright State to be champions of the Horizon League tournament. They received the Horizon League's automatic-bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the first round to Texas Tech.
Drew McDonald is an American former basketball player. He played college basketball for the Northern Kentucky Norse. McDonald was named the conference's Player of the Year in 2019.

The Norse, led by first-year head coach Darrin Horn, played their home games at BB&T Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky as members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 23–9, 13–5 in Horizon League play to finish in second place. They defeated Green Bay and UIC to become champions of the Horizon League tournament. They received the Horizon League's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. However, the NCAA Tournament was cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Doug Novak is an American basketball coach who is an assistant coach for the Northern Kentucky Norse women's basketball team. Before coaching for Northern Kentucky, Novak was the interim head coach of the Mississippi State women's basketball team from 2021 to 2022 following the resignation of head coach Nikki McCray-Penson due to health concerns. Novak has been head coach before, coaching the Iowa Western Reivers, Anderson Trojans, and Bethel Royals men's basketball teams.

They finished the season 19–12, 14–6 in Horizon League play to finish in a three-way tie for second place. They defeated Oakland, Youngstown State, and Cleveland State to claim the title championship of the Horizon League tournament. They received the Horizon League's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, where they lost in the first round to top-seeded Houston, closing their season with an overall record of 22–13.
