Dole Whip (also known as Dole Soft Serve) [1] is a soft serve dairy-free frozen dessert created by Dole Food Company in 1984. [2] Prior to 2023, when Dole Whip began to be sold at retailers, Dole Whip was served at Disney theme parks and Dole Soft Serve was sold elsewhere. The original pineapple flavor is the best known, and additional fruit flavors are sold. Similar or identical desserts modeled after the Dole Whip but not manufactured or served by Dole are generically called pineapple whip. [3]
The Dole Whip is made with powder and water in a soft serve machine, [4] though Disney published a recipe in 2020 to allow people to create their own Dole Whips at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. [5] Since at least 2013, Dole Whip has been made with exclusively vegan ingredients, and it has always been gluten-free. [6]
According to MyFitnessPal and the Dole Soft Serve company, one serving equivalent to 2/3 cup of the Dole Whip has 110 calories. [7] [4]
Dole Whip was created by Dole Food Company in 1984. [2] It was introduced at the National Restaurant Association show in May 1984,[ citation needed ] 10 years after Dole took over from United Airlines as the sponsor of Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room (an attraction inside the Adventureland section of Disneyland).[ citation needed ] Dole Whip built on the attraction's initial refreshment offering of pineapple juice & fruit spears. In December 2018, Disneyland opened the Tropical Hideaway, [9] which offers a seating and dining area for Adventureland. With more soft-serve machines they were able to offer more Dole Whip flavors and combinations.
In 2023, Dole Whip was announced to be available in retail stores. [10] [11]
Dole Whip has achieved a cult following among Disney park-goers, allowing merchandise to be created in the Disney Snacks merchandise category. [2] [12] [13] [14]

First opened on June 23, 1963 at the Disneyland Resort, the attraction is a pseudo-Polynesian musical Audio-Animatronic show drawing from American tiki culture.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is a separate-admission Halloween-themed event held annually during the months of August, September, October, and November at the Magic Kingdom theme park of the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, near Orlando, and at Disneyland Paris Resort outside Paris, France. The party began as a response to the Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios Florida. Disney's event caters to a traditional family atmosphere, whereas Universal's has more of a "fright-centered" event with their monsters.
The Tahitian Terrace was a Polynesian themed restaurant at Disneyland. The restaurant opened in June 1962, located just inside the Adventureland gates. It was Disneyland's first dinner theater, with entertainment provided by the Polynesian Revue, a music-and-dance show featuring dance troupe the Royal Tahitians, hula dancers and a fire walker. The restaurant was originally sponsored by Stouffer's frozen food; in the 1980s, Kikkoman was the sponsor.
Kinect: Disneyland Adventures is a 2011 open world video game developed by Frontier Developments and published by Microsoft Studios on Kinect for Xbox 360, with a remaster for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows developed by Asobo Studio released in 2017 as simply Disneyland Adventures. It takes place in a recreation of Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, circa 2011, with themed games in place of many of the rides, while motion controls are used to play the game.
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is a musical show based on Disney Animation's 2013 computer-animated musical feature film Frozen and the songs from the film, located at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Shanghai Disneyland Park. It was also formerly hosted at Disney California Adventure, Disneyland Park in Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland. The show is presented as a recounting of the plot of Frozen as told by the official Arendelle historians and includes appearances from Princess Anna of Arendelle, Kristoff and Queen Elsa of Arendelle.
