Yeongcheon is a city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.
Gyeongsan is satellite city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. Its western border abuts the metropolitan city of Daegu, and much of Gyeongsan lies within the Daegu metropolitan area.
Cheongdo County (Cheongdo-gun) is a county in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It is connected to the national transportation grid by the Gyeongbu Line railroad and the Daegu-Busan Expressway. The seat of government is located in the center of the county, in Hwayang-eup.

Seo District is a gu, or district, in western Daegu, South Korea. A major transportation nexus, it is transected by the Gyeongbu, Guma, and Jungang Expressways. It is also connected to the downtown region and to Dalseong County by Daegu Subway Line 2. The Gyeongbu Line railroad also passes through Seo-gu, but no major stations are located there.
Daegu Science High School (Korean: 대구과학고등학교) is a gifted school located in Daegu, South Korea. The school opened on October 26, 1987. As of 2020, it has 281 students. The school is for gifted students with talents in mathematics and sciences. The graduates of the school usually go to science or engineering schools in KAIST, Postech, Seoul National University, UNIST, and other prestigious universities in Korea and in the world.
Daegu University of Foreign Studies was a university of Foreign Studies in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It was founded in 1997. In 2018 Ministry of Education ordered closure of the university due to its significant finance troubles and corruption of the founders and leadership after the special audit conducted following the lowest evaluation the university received in 2015.
Camp Walker is a U.S. military base in Daegu, South Korea. Camp Walker was named in 1951 after General Walton Walker, commander of the Eighth Army who was killed in a jeep crash in December 1950 during the Korean War. Camp Walker, Camp Henry, and Camp George are the three U.S. military bases in Daegu, part of the U.S. Army Garrison Daegu. Camp Walker spans 94 acres (0.38 km2) and contains military family housing for about 360 military and civilian families. Also on Camp Walker are Daegu Middle High School, a DoDEA school serving 6th to 12th graders; the main Exchange and DeCA Commissary; the Camp Walker Army Lodge; the Evergreen Golf Course; Kelly Gym and Athletic Field; and several Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) clubs.
United States Army Garrison Daegu, also known as USAG Daegu is a medium-sized United States Army Garrison headquartered in the Nam District, Daegu in South Korea. USAG Daegu provides base operations and support for Camps Henry, Walker and George in Daegu, Camp Carroll in Waegwan, Chilgok County, the Busan Storage facility and Pier 8 in Busan Metropolitan City, the DLA Disposition Services in Apo-eup Gimcheon and various other remote mountaintop sites. USAG Daegu also provides support to the United States Navy at Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae in Jinhae-gu, to the United States Marine Corps at Camp Mujuk in Pohang, and the United States Air Force at K-2 Airfield colocated at the Daegu International Airport. Nearly 10,000 Soldiers, Family members, Civilian employees, KATUSA Soldiers and Korean employees live and work on USAG Daegu installations.
Camp Henry is a U.S. military base in Daegu, South Korea. Camp Henry was named in 1960 after First Lieutenant Frederick F. Henry, who served with F Company, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. Camp Henry is located in the Nam-gu District of Daegu City on 16 acres (0.065 km2). It consists primarily of administrative buildings and community support facilities. The U.S. Army Garrison - Daegu, headquartered at Camp Henry in Daegu, manages the installation and provides base operations services for the people who live and or work at Camp Carroll. Major tenant units on Camp Henry are the 19th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) and the 403rd Army Field Support Brigade—Korea (Provisional).
2017 World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships is the seventh in a series of World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships. This seventh edition took place in Daegu, South Korea, from 19 to 25 March 2017. This was the first Indoor Championships held in an odd-numbered year, to alternate with the Outdoor Championships that switched to even-numbered years in 2016.
